Soon to be 34. Never owned a pair of Jordan's in my younger years (first pair was in 2000). Nevertheless, I remember him wearing these in the AS game. Now I am making up for unmade purchases as an adult. I got the boreaux's in 2011 but have already ended up going through both pairs. Hopefully I can pick these up.
compared to '11 bordeauxs i have in my hand the quality on these look awful imo..

Maybe your math is just off, or you started school really young? You sure you were in grade three? I'm a year older than you and was in grade 6 when I got these. And I remember my parents put me into school a year early haha.
So much nostalgic love for this shoe. Still have my pair from grade 6. Sadly my feet have grown a bunch since then haha.
Yeah once you're 33 that's when you become officially oldYou're a youngin at 32. Quit playin.

You might be my long lost twin brother or somethingI was 11 at the start of 6th grade in 1992 and the Bordeaux 7s were my first Jordans to have at the start of School. Prior to these, I always received my Jordans at Christmas. So the IV, V, and VI I received during Christmas after School started. However, with my luck, the Private school I went to implemented a low top white shoe for the dress code that year(and only that year), so I got a pair of low top Filas(the Air Force 1 wannabe). But that was okay with me, because the Bordeaux 7 lasted me all year, instead of the usual 4 monthsIt was my weekend shoe. Oh the memories.
For what its worth, I just turned 34 a few weeks ago.
3rd Grade- I don't know what I started in, but I received Fire Red IVs for Christmas (No Air)
4th Grade- Started off with L.A. Gear, and Received Fire Red V's for Christmas (Reflective Tongue)
5th Grade- Started off with Black Top Reebok Pump, and received Black/Infared VI's for Christmas (Later stolen at the Swimming Pool)
6th Grade- Started off With Bordeaux 7s, and Fila FX 100 Low. No shoes for Christmas

Same age, had Fire Red IVs, Black/Infrared VI's, and Bords.
I went to a private school as well and we had a uniform shirt but we could wear jeans plus whatever shoes we wanted, thankfully. My new shoes each year were usually tied to the beginning of the school year or start of basketball season. Occasionally get a pair for Christmas. The good ol' days.
Same. I'm 29 and lived in the country, so never had a pair of OGs. I'm obviously in the minority, but I'm not really a big fan of the 7s. Will probably pass on these.Soon to be 34. Where are all the perforations? Why is the collar so thin? Why is it so low? Why is the air jordan placed so low on the tongue? That grey...
God I hope all of the early pics are fakes so far. I can look past most of these questions but that flimsy bs collar is trying to be a dealbreaker. It doesnt even hold its shape. WTF
Take a look at the recent remastered VII's to give you a rough idea as to what these will look like in terms of "Jordan" on the tongue, thickness of materials, etc. I can't imagine they will be much different.
