Wait, what plane tickets? And DK, you gonna be at the Wiz game too? Lemme know.

Don't expect to actually pay $1. No way in hell a company could operate charging that amount considering the service they offer. Read the fine detailsfrom their FAQ.

How do you set your fares?

Our goal is to offer our customers as inexpensive a ticket as possible and still make an operating profit. Our fares will start @ $1 (plus a transaction or booking fee), with a minimum of one $1 fare available on every schedule we operate every day. The fares we charge will vary by day of week, overall passenger demand and how many days until the travel will take place. Typically someone who purchases a week or two out will receive the cheapest fares so it will save you money to plan ahead. Even our higher walkup fares will be reasonable and will allow for inexpensive spur of the moment travel.

At least it looks like someone has decided to compete against the Chinatown buses which will hopefully drive down the average fares evenmore..as if the Chinatown buses weren't cheap already.

A new bus line - BoltBus, a subsidiary of Greyhound Lines - beginning service March 27 between New York and Washington will offer tickets for $1 each way forthe first four days of service (through March 30). Seats were still available Thursday.

Coaches will offer street-corner service between the two cities eight times daily on new buses equipped with Wi-Fi, power outlets and, on some, leather seats.Tickets will cost from $1 to $25 each way, with the lowest fares going to early bookers. (The company isn't specifying the number of cheap seats per trip.)Online bookings can be made up to six months in advance at Bolt Bus.com or purchased from the driver.

I just placed a trial run on the tickets, but not for the 1st 4 days. Still a good deal though, 3 roundtrip tickets, $60

Works 4 me.

Looks a lot nicer then the Chinatown buses. Do you still have to be 24 or something to book a hotel in NYC?

took the boltbus to new york last weekend to see one of my homies from high school. service was pretty good, AC outlets was a plus so you can charge yourlaptop, cell phone, etc. wi-fi on the bus was
