Boardwalk Empire Season 5 Thread - Series Finale - Eldorado

It's so obvious that kid is Tommy at this point. They might as well have a saying he's Jimmy's son.

Who else could it even be?
Mickey Doyle is gonna die in the next two episodes. The real Doyle (Mickey Duffy) died in 1931, so it matches up.

Van Alden slowly grew on me, hate to see him go.

Chalky, hate it had to be him

.  Dude lost everything though, I can see why he gave himself up.

If the writers follow history, it's gonna be an anti-climactic ending.

Man this episode had me feeling all type of ways

Chalky gone & Van Alden

:{

Forreal B, I honestly hate it had to be these dudes..more so chalky but had a feeling he knew babygirl was his and didnt want to see them suffer any longer. "Make sure you keep your mama away from men like me." :\

Only 2 more episodes left..

Before I watched this ep I was like there's 2 eps left so some **** needs to start really going down.

:{ :rolleyes :x :|

My boy Van Alden. That was some bull **** to get killed by THAT FED PIECE OF ****! but it was classic Van Alden losing it on Al Capone like that :rollin :rollin I don't know what he was thinking.

I'm pissed Eli wasn't the one to die though. They're whole plan was pretty stupid to show up there with no money.

Chalky dying was just bull ****. This death was more anti-climactic than the death of Omar.

He a fool. Next ep could literally be Narcisse having his crew raw dogging Daughter while her daughter watches and then bury her alive.

He said it in the end when Chalky asked if he was gonna keep his word. Tell yourself I'll keep my word *****, now go die.

Man I'm frustrated with this season ending the way it is... It feels so rushed, there is no reason why Van Alden and Chalkey would've gone out like this had it been a full season instead of this rushed crap.... :{

Them feels tho.... |I

This.

smh, RIP to the homie Chalky.... seems like his entire arc this season was to set this up. Messed up that this season was short too. One last helping of the Narcisse-Chalky rivalry woulda been cool to see. But it felt right to send him out the way he went, Chalky was a shell of the man that we first met, he kinda got peace knowing that he was able to help his (newly discover) daughter's future.

Van Alden went out in some pure insanity lol. Dude was pure LOLZ since season 2 man

Looks like Tommy (aka Joe Whatever) is actually teamed up with Lucky and Myer.

Only 2 more episodes left and not one flashback depiction of AR's demise.

Looking forward to how this will all wrap up. Can't believe there's only 2 more episodes.

Chalky's death was very metaphorical. He wanted to have daughter and her daughter live free, by sacrificing himself. He still had guilt of Maybelle dying on behalf of him and the business he was in. He knew there was no more of him being a gangster.

No need to have Nucky at a bar drunk all night in the 3rd to last episode.

What was the payoff with the 2 chicks at the bar? Was it just to rob Nuck?
i feel like it was a set up from jump

first the guy in the bar was supposed to beat nucky up and they rob him

since that failed, they went to plan b

I just thought it further underlined Nucky's caping ways. He got into a fight over two thots. :{

Also told a lot when he asked "but why?" He had all that money, but for what? All he really wants to do is smash and get drunk. He doesn't see the point of his lifestyle anymore. He likes the chase more than the catch.
