Black Culture Discussion Thread

I don’t know why ya’ll even have arguments about the diaspora anymore. S*** is pointless and unproductive.

I DON’T CARE WHAT CONTINENT A PERSON CLAIMS!!

At the end of the got damn day, we all lookalike anyway:lol :lol :rollin :rollin :lol

Dumb and pointless argument
Man they a step away from being those “I no Black, Dominican” dudes.

By definition, the man who organized the million man march doesn’t qualify as FBA. So what are we really talking about here :lol

Stokely Carmichael… Farrakhan (as you mentioned)… Sidney Poitier… Harry Belafonte… it’s like c’mon man. Marcus Garvey…etc

ALL THOSE DUDES “I would hope” influenced black Americans. My family is from Georgia and Florida. I’m influenced by ANY BLACK/AFRICAN whatever they want to claim, black male or female who stands for something. It’s a pointless situation across the board.

If you get backed into a corner and you’re the only “black” American…. Surrounded be a group of yuppies, white supremacists or rednecks… and on the opposite side are some cats from Africa, Jamaica, Haiti, etc, you’re going to up and say “nah, don’t help me because you aren’t technically American”

You’ll take an *** whooping or death at the hands of an opposition and be dismissive of help because they’re from Africa or some other extension of the diaspora? :lol :lol :lol :lol

Over 2 billion of us globally and still the same nonsense

America has less than 1% of the black popualtion in this world but FBA’ers want to own “Black”

Rememeber when I was kicked out from here so I created another thread for ALL BLACK PEOPLE? Lol

Also, I hope yall understand when I say “FBA” I mean those people and not just normal Black/African-Americans

However, no matter how you FEEL you are still apart of the African diaspora

African Diaspora?

FBA?

Either way...

I'm Black. I'm American.

Neither of those things impacts my life in any way whatsoever.

Fools acting like we got a diaspora hotline or a Pan-African bat signal.

Nobody is coming to save us, Fam. We are, and always have been, on our own.

We got enough problems to worry about. ..in real life, and the "foundational diaspora" or whatever social constructs/narratives come next ain't gonna do a thing to fix them.

There isn't even unity across the continent of Africa amongst Africans, and these folks are talking about a damn diaspora?

Leave us alone! :lol::smh:

Yooo...

Pretty sure I've mentioned here before that im a big fan of video essayist F.D. Signifier.

He dropped his long awaited Tyler Perry video on YouTube today. According to the post, it was uploaded 7 hours ago and has 200K views. In comparison. Baby Keem posted a part 2 of his Booman documentary and its sitting at 170K views in the same amount of time.

That is so incredible to me.

Hope yall have the opportunity to check out his content sometime. Id definitely recommend his Tyler Perry joint, but i dont think its his best video at all. He got some ****. Check him out.

Shout out to Lil Bill as well. I dont think he's got the following FD does, and he's a pretty dry listen (as are most of these video essays) but hos content be on point all the time.
