Black Culture Discussion Thread

Young dudes the only ones on that?

Yea there's no way you are being serious.

I guess yall forgot about this

1. Would Baltimore not be an extreme case? Like we know they do this in LA and gang culture but that doesn't represent all of Black culture.

2. An idea that benefits all criminals doesn't necessarily count as "convicts being our culture". In fact, its trying to prevent people from becoming a convict. A mf in Cantonment, Fl don't know who the tf Ronnie Thomas is. It was the idea....not the person. The person is the convict.

Not to mention that was 15 years ago.

It was a "national" underground DVD that hoods across America got ahold of. It wasn't a BAL exclusive thing simply because the creator was from Baltimore.

But if you are going to pretend Stop Snitching is somehow something only young dudes (now) are on when it has been a thing for DECADES, we can agree to disagree. You aren't being morally honest at all.

You're still assuming everyone got it from that DVD. I know thats not the case because I've never seen it, but I know about the "Stop Snitching" movement. It just sounded good and mfers are followers. Which is the ACTUAL problem. If we want to keep it a buck, that notion doesn’t even really come from prison. We’ve go through that stage where they tell everything on everybody. You let rock for a bit but eventually end up saying, “Aye man, don’t be a tattletale now…”, and it has nothing to do with prison. One, you’re tired of the kid telling you something every 5 minutes and, 2, you know its only going to make no one like the kid or worse.

I am not saying everyone got it FROM the DVD. (Never said that by any stretch)

The DVD existing was simply an (one) example of it being "a thing." (That actually exists, which you pretended it (the concept) didn't)

No, you didnt flat out say that. You implied it. Pretty heavily in fact.

Yes that doesn't mean the DVD was the ONLY thing responsible for people thinking that way. Not quite sure why that needed to be explicitly stated but if that's what I need to do moving forward for you I can do that.

Hold on let me copy and paste this again.

But we'll pretend like all that come from prison because someone talking for the sake of content creation kinda-sorta made a point.

The answer to that question was posted TWICE on this very page. The answer and the reasoning.

As a non-convict adult(I assume based off your character), would YOU hang out with someone who told everyone everything about everybody??????

🤮 wth and why are ppl attracted to this fake aesthetic? There are natural extremes that some men would kill for yes but science hasn’t gotten close to what genetics is and does.

Zion is a wild boy but doesn’t strike as the r*pey type.

Who raised these dudes?? How can ANYONE find something like THAT attractive, appealing or sexy??

Like Kevin Samuels used to say…….”the movie B.A.P.S. was suppose to be a comedy”. Not to be taken seriously.

May be the greatest thing I've ever seen you post. Thank you for this man.
  • "Some problems can’t be solved. Some things need to be accepted. Others need to be mourned."
I have things, or rather relationships I've maintained for 30+ years. But some people just want to do what they want to do. Finally had to just let them.
  • "Go to therapy, Homey."
Have learned some valuable lessons from therapy in my younger days. Go if you haven't, and keep those lessons. If you don't learn them, you'll just be in therapy forever. Learn the lessons.
  • "Quiet beats being right."
This is mostly why I haven't been on this site and some others recently. Just a bunch of arguments I talk my way into, and I got **** to learn that I don't understand. "Let the group chat fight over LeBron vs. Jordan. You’ve got a lawn to water and a 401(k) to understand." 100%
  • "Regrets are easier to carry than denial. You could spend years pretending none of it happened, or you could own it, learn from it"
Some of these sites inadvertently train you to never admit you're wrong. Don't learn that.
  • "Hydration is life. Water is your new best friend. "
Yes, yes yes. 98% of what I drink is water. Ice, cool, room temp, whatever. Probably my greatest health habit. Can't recommend it enough. It's cheap or free, and does wonders for you.
  • "You’re planning for a future you may not see."
Last Sunday I happened across my high school yearbook pic and saw the (also black) kid next to me in pictures. Looked him up out of random curiosity and found he'd died in 2019. He'd been married and was a doctor.

We're blessed to get this far in life fellas. Take care.
