You see how hip hop setting up the old rappers to be our political and spiritual leaders?

Skipping over lots of quality folks.
Well those tend to be the figures that get shine when it comes to speaking “for us.”

id love to see more historians, journalists, and lawyers on panels like this. I would love for a candace owens to get in front of Lurie Favors from the Center of Law and Social Justice (google her), career would be ended.

Poor Tupac. Tried to infiltrate too many groups to get to this point smh. Died too soon man.

The snippets from the Revolt summit will be perfect for Fox News to use and justify their points.

"I tried to have a honest debate with them and they cursed me out."

yup, thats what that oreo broad gonna run back and say.

no, black man be like Tyrone.

Sometimes its good to show that that unbridled rage. We cant always just sit back be docile and accept everything .
I agree. Everyone can't be a keyboard warrior typing about what should be done somebodies got to do something. I have more respect for him than those talking the good fight but do nothing once they stop typing. Tyrone got locked up but I'll bet the store owners will think about him before they put hands on another customer.

Im not watching that whole REVOLT thing, someone give me snippets please

A bunch of arguing and back and forth, then Killer Mike sets everybody attention on moving forward and potentially creating a list of political points we could all agree on and a bunch more instead of screaming at each other. Then the conversation shifts to gerry mandering and more current conversations. Couple of quick questions from the audience and end panel

Honestly barely made it to the second half because of Candice Owens & the other Repub woman that was up there dishing out all the Repub excuses and talking points and hearing TI try to defend and talk over em got old and super annoying. But once Mike was able to speak and redirected everybody it became informative and forward moving.

If you don't want to watch the whole vid there's a portion where we see Candice Owens being brought back to reality for a bit by pitting her talking points against facts and not feeling & half-truths. It's already queued up, it's only a couple of minutes.

Killer Mike has bought into the myth that immigrants are taking their jobs too.

Not one time has he talked about how the law never prosecutes the employer, but he was out there talking about "who has the best master."

Dudes are blind to the limitations of their perspective for the sake of "not picking sides"

Sometimes, the truth is not in the middle...

The 7yrs Killer Mike brought were fruitful for Black ppl indeed, but the foundation for system racism/oppression towards blacks were established during this time period as well. System racism/oppression that “we” as in black ppl, still unfortunately face till this day.

True enough, I'm not fully aware of that time period so I have work to do on catching up with those details
I'm just glad somebody was able to stop the bickering over whose right and all of that cause it was getting nowhere

It also sounded like he believes in the withholding our vote as some sort of punishment to politicians
I thought I heard him say something along the lines of giving us what we want or we'll sit at home or something similar

Man Killer Mike was up all night thinking about using that line...like a kid with new birthday kicks dreaming about how "Imma kill em with this"...

For anyone who actually listens to his music, nothing new was said.

Killer Mike's false dichotamy logical fallacy is on display.

Not even close when Republicans are doing this...

I commend TI for calling a thing a thing to the things face.

He responded PERFECTLY.

Owens is not an honest person...she engages in half truths and whole lies as opposed to honest debates based on factual information.

The proper response was to call it out for what it is...BS.

Enough with that "They go low, we go high" nonsense.

Also I cant beleive nobody called that other broad out for bringing up the First Step act.

Trump signed the First Step Act and handed Van Jones shuck & jive goofy *** the pen he used to sign it then turned around and wrote it right out of the budget.

Even more reason to have actual professionals do this rather than entertainers.

You can stay home on election day, but you're gonna go out the next day and risk being pulled over. Who do you want behind you? Somebody emboldened by four years of Trump/GOP majority or someone who knows he can be checked?

Killer Mike used one of the greatest periods of black representation in politics to advocate for not voting!

Then used the Republican party of the reconstruction era to demonstrate why it's not the GOP, but our helplessness that is the enemy.

Decent artist, but grade A clown. Take more offense to his takes than Candace's

Also, his gun stuff has me scratching my head literally after every interview.
