Black Culture Discussion Thread

I dont think its about looking broke or in need of a discount

i think its quite literally about representation and accessibility

like tickets are priced affordably so white ppl will buy in multitude and just by virtue of population be able to "space out" black people at a black event

like the people who the events are essentially made for dont get to enjoy because there are white people everywhere

raising the price for white people is to just cut out the white "tourists" from the white people who are genuinely invested in the black community imo

That actually is a great answer and I can understand that and have seen it happen but I still think it’s a bad look. Guess ticket sales will be the judge. But in my opinion it just promotes inequality.
Imagine if everything was priced by race?

you mean kinda like a reparations based economic structure?

so for black people

jordans $100
henny $36
black and milds 50c

for white people
mayonaise 500 a bottle
dogs $1million
klan robes $50,000

I knew this would be brought up in some form. Stereotypes are funny aren’t they. >D
Where you getting black and milds for 50 cents though?:nerd:

stereotypes are sometimes the easiest way to get a point across and simultaneously illustrate how ideas can be misconstrued

nah i was saying if it was black ppl prices blacks would be that cheap

I mean this is the land of inequality. Forget priced by race. At damn near every level this country judges and puts labels on people based race. Some lil festival over charging white people is so small compared to real issues. I can't feel sorry for white people having pay a lil extra at a festival.

Black man on live tv saying other black men are the problem

Black democrats already see Kamala bout to catch a L so they gonna blame it on black men.

"Black men don't support her because they think she's not black enough" :lol

Nah. Black in general don't **** with her cuz her track record is ugly. Denying DNA evidence in a case to free a innocent man. Sending black mothers to jail because their kids didn't go to school for whatever reason. She was against cops having body cameras.

I posted this while a ago, her history is ugly.

"A close examination of Harris’s record shows it’s filled with contradictions. She pushed for programs that helped people find jobs instead of putting them in prison, but also fought to keep people in prison even after they were proved innocent. She refused to pursue the death penalty against a man who killed a police officer, but also defended California’s death penalty system in court. She implemented training programs to address police officers’ racial biases, but also resisted calls to get her office to investigate certain police shootings."

But what seem like contradictions may reflect a balancing act. Harris’s parents worked on civil rights causes, and she came from a background well aware of the excesses of the criminal justice system — but in office, she had to play the role of a prosecutor and California’s lawyer. She started in an era when “tough on crime” politics were popular across party lines — but she rose to national prominence as criminal justice reform started to take off nationally. She had an eye on higher political office as support for criminal justice reform became de rigueur for Democrats — but she still had to work as California’s top law enforcement official"

"For example, Harris’s office fought to release fewer prisoners, even after the US Supreme Court found that overcrowding in California prisons was so bad that it amounted to unconstitutional cruel and unusual punishment. At one point, her lawyers argued that the state couldn’t release some prisoners because it would deplete its pool for prison labor — but Harris quicklyclarified that she was not aware her office was going with that argument until it was reported by media."
