I support Trump. Same as I supported Obama. Whoever is leading at the time should be shown respect in my opinion. Some people think that because I support Trump, that I also support some of the questionable things he does. I don't condone 100% of what Trump does or says but overall I'm a supporter. It's like having a homie that does questionable things. It's still your homie but he just makes you face palm. I don't think he's a racist or a white supremacist tho.
Since you brought it up; I haven't met many people in general who think the lgbt community shouldn't have rights. I have met people however, who disagree with the lifestyle. Everyone should have the same rights.

Be very mindful of the homie that habitually does questionable things. The morals of the company that you keep is a direct reflection of you. "You are who and what you associate with". I think many people within the black community have a sense of loyalty to delusions.
I actually appreciate you stating that your a trump support and the way you put it because I points out a overall hypocrisy of morals that I think many of us have.

We can replace Trump in this statement and correlate it to dozens of people or things that have highly questionable morality.
Overall I think our community at large's support of people or things with highly questionable morality is the bigger issue at hand. From supporting immoral religious leaders, politicians, musicians, businesses, lifestyles, family members etc its all toxic to self-progress and progress within the community.

Lol, I remember back in college there were tons of presentations, essays, dissertations etc on how that is not possible. Minorities can't show discrimination to a people or system that is in power. I was at St Jose University for a Tim Wise lecture where he was invited white people to explain how someone can be "racist against white people". By definition the term "racist" against white people within America would be inaccurate because they are classified by how the class system functions to be the superior. Now it a white person was in another country where they were the minority in population, financial power and social constructs then they would be able to use the term "racist against white people". But academically the term "racist against white people" does not work within the social constructs of America.
But like I said if bigrockford isn't trolling then I would invite him to learn more about the topics that he is debating from different angles or else he's going to come off just another troll due to ignorance on the subject.

serious question:
given the polarization (you might even class it as radicalization) of politics and conservative/republican ideals specifically, beyond the theoretical ‘black conservative,’ is it really possible for actual black conservatives to be taken seriously?
thing is, most (white) people can not really fathom or do not consider systemic effects of ideas about ‘race’ and do not think of racism as a system...partly because it is the least transparent manifestation of how race plays out, but maybe too some willful ignorance. i also kinda think the way the discourse of race plays out in the public sphere often lacks necessary nuance but paradoxically too often there times when such conversations are not decisive/forceful enough in calling out the inequities in society due to our ideas about ‘race’...

it would be far more efficient to accept their perception and move around them completely. take them out of the equation.
yet our culture continues to try and force, legislate or guilt the ones we claim to posess all the influence, money, and power to do something they just dont wanna do.

well that is a difficult proposition in the world as presently constituted...as the latter part of your explanation/rationale makes clear; to the extent that most cannot insulate ourselves from the affect of those things. that noted, neither approach would seem to have to be exclusive of the other as necessity...when/where possible go around, build coalitions when/where necessary, and educate when/where the opportunity arises...
this was entirely predictable, and i don't totally get the all the criticism of him..i feel like 'ye was always something of an apolitical entity...his whole 'free-thinking' mantra was infamously one that championed basically being uninformed, his admiration of trump, as misguided as it seems to the masses, would appear to be more to do with their shared narcissism (and 'dragon energy); as kanye's naked lack of knowledge of political agenda(s) beyond perhaps a self-interested economic conservative stance, has shown he has little idea/understanding of the totality of what trump has been espousing...

coming from a family that still owns a 60 year old business i say sell it.
as much as we tout entrepreneurship as the solution to everything we dont factor in how much we dont support one another

Theoretically its possible i suppose. I recently came across Sonnie Johnson, a black conservative, on siriusxm via the Karen Hunter and this girl is unapologetically pro-black, i cant deny that and thats what drew me into listening to her show. And she actually made a lot of sense on a lot of points and shes one of the only black people on the right actually calling for change withing the conservative movement to make the right a side where black people with conservative values can go. I'm like, okay, maybe I was wrong, maybe there are black conservatives really about this. but then she started actually talking about politics and it went down hill from there. conspiracy theories about how dems want to turn America into a Marxist state to keep black people subjected, and that actually white supremacy is chicago and baltimore and ferguson and it was all alex jones from there. at the end of the day it just seems like to be a conservative in today's climate you have to buy into or complicity support some nonsense that most moderate/liberal people find outrageous.
They not the legit want to keep it there.
Everyone who lived around it "made it " and moved to cheaper manor or Pflugerville. Folks still support it because even though we live cheaper we still work in austin.

not that it is impossible...just seems to me that dealing with any people in the world to some extent requires cooperation, even if tenuous, and being that there are so few of the levers of influence, power, and wealth that black folk fully control...
intellectually, most will acknowledge the possibility of the rational black conservative/republican (that isn't classed as a ****, uncle tom, or other tool of thought) but at least in this current moment, i feel like it really only works as a hypothetical...
