Nah, they didn't fight to make this our home.

They fought to attempt to get equality in a place in which we aren't welcomed.

Neither of which has happened yet.

This is not our home. We are just here.

Well explained. I can get with this.

I say we are lost because we are in a place that doesn't want us here, that we are being reminded every day that we aren't welcomed, yet we still beg and plea to those SAME people to accept/want/make it fair for us.

Sure, things are much easier for us vs. Times in the past but times in the past were outright inhumane.

I am sure most don't agree and that is fine, that is just how I feel.

nah talk yo ****
take my rep

But didn’t our ancestors fight, to make this our home?
Read the Nationalist tradition that connects Martin Delaney, Alexander Crummell, David Walker, Sojourner Truth, and Maria Stewart to Dubois, Garvey, Robeson and Malcolm. Once you read that then you'll start to make the connections that Africans have no matter where we are in the world.

Neither side can be trusted, but that is a different conversation
You can definitely trust one side to let you express yourself however you want at the ballot box. The people in the bus weren't instructed to vote for a particular candidate. We got police in TX arresting black candidates while they are canvassing, and we know very well on which side they lean.

Don't complain about voter suppression if you don't want to acknowledge who is suppressing voters.

Yeah I don't get the "both sides are the same angle either."

One side has running an open voter suppression campaign primarily against poor and minority people, in openly marginalizing minorites and has white supremacists in key positions throughout their leadership. Just look at the party racial representation for goodness sakes.

I get that the Democrats aren't perfect and not ideal but don't act like the two parties are the same.

It’s $79 for ancestry son, it’s not that steep.

Do you know where in West Africa? Do you know how much African you are as opposed to European?

Wouldn’t it be cool to say “oh a majority of me is from Mali, I would like to visit there”

The amount of great things that can come from it is worth the $79
Thing to note is that you might have some other ancestry that didn't carry over to your dna. Not everything goes to each new living thing, so you might show things and not something else just off the luck of the draw from your creation
So using ancestry to track your family tree is still a lil recommended

Here is mine, I did it on ancestry.com a couple years ago.

A lot of y’all in here don’t seem black to me, so post your results

Bruh, you new in here. If anyone was perpetrating, they'd be called out immediately. Everyone who has spoken against you is either black American, Caribbean or African.

Black folks from everywhere disagree with you.

You way too new here to be questiong folk black ancestry (as if it matters, a legit opinion is a legit opinion no matter the race of who said it)

Some of the folks you calling out have been proven to be of the African diaspora. Shoot the majority of these cats posted in the pyp. They all black.

I'll be the first to call out a perp. We just have a difference of opinion. Leave it at that.

Funny, considering your screen name. If this is how you really feel, then why not move away? Serious question.

After 500 years, I think black folks have a right to call this their home.

If this isn't than where is?

This screen-name was made when I was 14 years old with aspiring Hoop Dreams.

Why not move away, I am cool here for now. It is fine here, but I still know I am not wanted here. Doesn't mean I need to move away.

Yeah I don't understand not wanting to call it home at this point and work to make it how it should be. Many civilizations were built and destroyed in less time than that.
