I think that Sydney Sweeny "outrage" is stupid on all front. Its was a play on words. Thats it. We are truly in an age of insecurity.
What is the story with SS? I just saw the clip above.
It was a American Eagle ad that said "Sydney Sweeny has good jeans". J-E-A-N-S. It triggered folks. What is the story with SS? I just saw the clip above.

I could kinda see if they pulled a white actress out of the sky, we haven't seen in a while like Anne Hathaway, but Sydney is that chick right now.
I dont think AE is fighting it...its everyone else. Idk to me thats like someone coming up to me and saying, "Shemar Moore looks better than you.." and getting offended by it.I mean she is a good looking woman so it makes the, "play on words" easier to throw out there.
They wanted backlash from the ad.
They wanted to offend.
Own it AE.
Some folks don't need the internet, they need therapy. This ain't nothing but poor self image bubbling up to the top because folks don't want to face their demons.
“my jeans are blue” sounded very suspect. It was a American Eagle ad that said "Sydney Sweeny has good jeans". J-E-A-N-S. It triggered folks.
Saying my jeans are blue could sound suspect could sound suspect.....if I really wanted it to. Someone just posted the Dunkin ad, dude said hes genetics was a season or some silly ****. "Blue Bloods" was also a cop show with Tom Selleck. Are they secretly promoting police with this ad?“my jeans are blue” sounded very suspect.
“Blue blood” was a term used by European nobility to indicate that their lineage was untainted (aka they didn’t have Princess Diana/Meagan Markle types in their family).
There was also a Dunkin Donuts ad with some dude talking about genetics.
It’s a weird word to use when promoting products that have little to do with biology, especially within the current climate.
