Fast forward to 8:45

I’ve been saying simps and suckers are messing the game up. The same way you got dudes that are suckers, it’s a bunch of female suckers as well.

Every woman ain’t a queen. I thank god EVERYDAY for my mother. My mother told me most women weren’t s*** at a YOUNG age!

It’s funny how us guys can talk about unsavory dudes or dudes who we know are no good, but god forbid you point out a lousy female.

My own father saved a women who had 3 kids and 3 BDs. 24 years of marriage and he regrets it everday. I have no sympathy:lol :lol

She clearly doesn’t understand the generational titles either. 40 year olds are millennials. Gen X are in the late 40/early 50s to 60s, they in the house sleep.

joking aside, i think she/the meme may have a point tho…

People are still barbecuing and having family functions. My cousins and I are in ours 20s and 30s and we BBQ and Cook a lot. Maybe it’s just her family not doing anything

Sometimes you have to INITIATE. I told my cousin years ago that it was our turn and that our parents are getting older. We’ve been doing Sunday dinner off and own for over 20 years.

I just told my cousin yesterday that we need to do something monthly. He’s 30, I’m 35.

BBQing is gospel in my family. Might be a southern thing though

Another example of the internet over complicating simple stuff just seek attention

i hear you but it goes beyond bbq’ing & family get togethers, but moreso the last thing she was saying:

“…it’s a whole group of people that are not participating in society…”

it’s probably too much hyperbole in that statement to really co-sign it but there could be something to that sentiment generally

so do nothing?

dont even try?
Who said that was the alternative? Comparing what Hasidic Jews are doing in Brooklyn but ignoring what has happened to Black folks when building wealth, communities etc is just silly though

Y'all been doing Sunday dinner on your own since y'all were 10 and 15? Salute!

They definitely participate, just not in the same realm as younger people. Younger people want to party and record everything.

Baby Boomers and gen-X definitely are active, but active doing the type of stuff they enjoy. Not Millennial, or Gen-Z stuff.

They’re at sporting events, going hunting and fishing, car shows and car auctions like barrett Jackson, golfing, doing crafts like metal or wood work, casino, etc.

The typical boomer or Xer doesn’t relate to a Millennial or Gen-Zer so of course it may look like they aren’t participants when they really just aren’t participating in the same circles. That’s all it is. They travel and hang out as well, just not along the same lines as the young people.

Boomers and Gen X more than likely aren’t listening to the same music as a GenZ aged kid and vice versa. A 60+ year old more than likely is not going to be in a club with a bunch of 20 somethings, unless he/she has arrested development and still acts like a kid.

Again, they’re alive and participating in society, paving roads, erecting builds, working, still doing majority of the blue collar work, they’re just not participating amongst younger folks because they’re lifestyles are completely different

good points, could be an lack of overlap in the venn diagram of interests between the generations; maybe my particular bias(es)/perspective had me resonating with that viewpoint.
