:evil::blush:

Is there a morality clause as part of her student athlete scholarship?

I agree
And get what ur saying
But it’s not as black and white as ur making it
U can have the presence of a father figure
Doesn’t mean that’s the one u should look up to
Know plenty of well off
Good jobs dudes
Who ain’t ****

uhh??, ive made this exact point numerous times within this very thread

me saying POSITIVE male role models is me not making it as easy as black and white

what you just said is another reason why i cant subscribe to the idea that ALL BLACK BOYS NEED BLACK MEN AROUND

because its not that simple (as we are BOTH saying)

some of these men have no business around anyones child, some of these women too (we refuse to address this)

which is why i stress the focus should be that kids need responsible adults in their lives, be it male or female. we can sort out the gender details later.

No u miss understood
When I said black and white
I wasn’t meaning skin color
I just mean like
U know everything’s not black and white there’s a grey area
U know what I’ve noticed
U be flying off the handle sometimes
With misunderstanding folks posts
Or take them the wrong way
And u fly off on a tangent
Don’t want to get into a back and forth with u either
Cause u tend to be condescending min ur posts too
And condescension annoys me
And all in all bruh
I said I AGREE with u
So I don’t know what other point u was tryna make
Also I’m rereading ur posts
And we both saying the same thing
And both said we agree with each other
So I’m not sure if we are in the midst of an argument or not

youve misunderstood everything if you thought i was talking about skin color and not grey areas

but keep cooking

keep quoting people without full understanding, its working out great for you

So they wouldnt let the kid on the slide?

and when he went over to the seesaw

then the lil girls got off the slide and followed him and smacked him in the head

to which the mother (?) aint say nothing just took him and left

obviously these issues are complex and there aren’t likely to be easy fixes...

kids definitely need responsible people around...one of the things the data in that article seems to indicate, which is pretty much accepted knowledge for black folks generally, is there something about how black males (as the gap between black women & white women aren’t as pronounced) are treated & viewed that maybe necessitates seeing different ways of dealing with that from another black male specifically because it is kinda unique to black males?

the way i interpreted this was not necessarily that mothers should wait for or get a man to teach their boys things but that black boys tend to do better in communities where there are more different types of black men around & about and as such maybe just passively serve as examples...

#sidebar the thing i always wonder about these types of candid videos is what had to happen right before the person starts recording that was the impetus to start recording...that said, the mother of the black boy (the kid as well!) handled that about as calmly, cool, & collected as can be imagined...

I see the same issue in the black community that I see in America as a whole: people don't ban together until tragedy strikes. Until then it's every man for himself.

We all aren't brothas and sistas....that's why.
All we have in common is skin color.

I can't ride with the weak and lost...no matter what color.
They'll be your downfall unfortunately.
Being naive like that will have you frustrated disgusted and distrustful to the grave.
I'd rather protect my soul at this point.

I'm just saying, the only times I've seen black people on one accord is
1) when we feel a brother has been wronged by the police
2) the oj case
3) when Black Panther dropped

Other than, it's basically 'if you ain't family, I don't mess with you'.

What's especially sickening is when fights break out, instead of trying to end it, cats just want to film it for the internet :smh:

There is a saying that good judgement is the product of experience and experience is the product of bad judgement. We learn by making mistakes. Formal education and positive role models are great but let's not forget that white folks, especially wealthy white folks, enjoy a great margin of error as they grow up. Black folks, even affluent black folks, do not enjoy such leeway. Let's try to create parity and expand the ability for younger black folks to be foolish, as young folks are often times want to be, and to let them learn from that foolishness and the measured consequences that may come their way.

Tony Kornheiser on Dr. J

"Dr J was the first black man that white fathers said to their sons, "I want you to be like HIM.""

I feel strongly that if she was white in that bikini, without as many curves, draped in the american flag it wouldn't be an issue, word to what Rex just said.
