Pac was born in NY though and he damn sure wasn't from LA. He grew up everywhere :lol

Yall dudes should learn something about the dude and what he was actually about. He got the battery put in his back for that whole east coast vs. west coast nonsense.
What state did Pac rep? Doesn't matter where you from, all that matters is where you at.
Like I said Pac was everywhere. That bs line you just spouted off holds no weight in reality and really isn't responding to what I'm talking about.

:lol at the emotional responses by rappers and emotional & nonsensical posts by so many in this thread. Its sad that way too many hip-hop fans and artists are way too emotional without understanding what is being said.

This Kendrick lyric has never been so appropriate considering the response the past few days:

"I ****** up the rap game and you ain't even know it" :{

All dude said was "it was cute"?

C'mon. Dude better not have dropped that cover art for no reason.

I'm hoping some underground cats jump on this and see what they can bring to the table. The likes of Del, Vast Aire, Vakill, Murs, Brother Ali, Pharoahe Monch, C Rayz Walz. Not even sure if half of them are still making music.

:hat :hat :hat

As far as the bolded ones, all of them have released something in the last 2 years :lol

Never listened to Vast Aire, Vakill nor C Rayz Walz

I think Lil B put a curse on Joey. He was so shook from that T Shirt & Buddens, that he resulted to twitter beefs.

I mean, I thought this too and keep hearing people make this claim, but he said "I'm Makiavelli's offspring, I'm the King of New York. King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both.”  He knew what he was saying and how it'd be taken.  He's saying he's the nicest dude rapping anywhere period and it's so easy he's practically doing it with one hand.

A lot of dudes in here trying to act like Kendrick didn't know EXACTLY what he was saying and doing.

He meant it to be the offensive that it was.
Man come on. Where was the uproar when Wayne proclaimed he was the best rapper alive? If anyone is seriously taking offense to a rapper saying he's the best coast to coast, you need to reevaluate some things.
People DID get mad when Wayne said it.  The difference between then and now is, 1. Wayne didn't say specific names and call people out, 2. when Kendrick says it, you have to look around at the current state of things and say "maybe."  All Wayne had to back him up at the time was album sales, but Soulja Boy and T-Pain were selling back then too, so no one really paid him much mind.

Kendrick is a rapping *** rapper who is on EVERY song, including pop songs, and really SPITTING on them.  People can't argue dumbing down is the key to album sales and success anymore either cuz he just went platinum.

It's forcing rappers to really look at what they're doing.  That's why THIS is a big deal.

The irony of Being on Big Seans track, and him being the epitome of what he was talking about makes K a clever dude for that one.

Maybe once we get back to the rapping and not the selling of your fake image, maybe more cats could appreciate Jay Electronica verse

Wayne was at the top of the game when he said that though. That was around Jay Z's publicity stunt, and Lil Wayne was puttin out heat. Now he's just insanely garbo

I cant even think of a career to Compare to Los'. He will forever be that dude that everyone knows is nice but will never ever blow.

Los is nowhere close to Cassidy.  Cassidy had hit singles.  Los has never been on the radio.  There's a big difference between the two.

This whole thing is getting WACK by the day LUPE response was awful, B.O.B should just stop cause that reply was painful to listen to..Joel Ortiz was average just cause he spit on the same beat different beat it would have been better...CASSIDY diss was weak cause I don't know if he talking bout MEEK or KDOT..Like it was funny when I 1st heard it I didn't take it as him dissing he just called a spade a spade it is what it is HIPHOP is lacking right now...I don't care to hear a million ****** reponse records dudes need to step their game up & make better music & put diversity back in the game..Everything sounds the same in HipHop...

.... I don't think this will do what we wanted it to, nobody responding for real and I doubt people will really "change"

We had an opportunity for greatness, and nigs is blowing it :{
