to truthfully become successful nowadays, you're going to need multiple streams of income.

i've been on my own for about 3 years now..... i definitely don't mind helping others out if they're feeling lost, need their resumes cleaned up and/or just need some financial advice.

Holla at ya boy!

Beyond broke at this point, I've got a bunch of degrees but they ain't helping, maybe I went to the wrong school. It's also a catch 22, no work experience=no job, but you can't get experience with out a job!!!

Where do I start??

I never thought I would turn out this way, makes me wonder about my decision making capabilities.

Try doing an internship to gain some type of experience. Also, do some volunteer work. It looks good on a resume.

You and other people in this thread should never have this thought in your head. You are not the only one who graduated from college in this boat. People with advanced degrees can't even find work. We have the older generation especially those who run everything to blame for this mess we are in. I know people with "in demand" degrees who can't find jobs in their field because the market is screwed up and they are working in different fields, doing part-time work or in the military. Find internships or volunteer to make yourself useful and make your resume more attractive. Networking isn't enough anymore. Almost everyone is expendable at their workplace so why would they look out for you when you can be that person that replaces them. Its tough, I'm in the same boat that many of you are in right now. I just found another job last week. My first month will be on a freelancer basis but after I pass the test period, I will be a full-time employee.

I'm thankful that I had some money saved away. I am paying back my student loans albeit on a graduated repayment plan but I'm paying them back nonetheless in addition to any other things I have to take care of. I was not deferring on my loans due to the fact that your lender can request that you pay it back in full, all at once, at any moment

You couldn't be more right. It also teaches you what and what isn't a necessity. I already knew that but when that $100 has to go toward a bill or a new pair of kicks, that bill is going to be paid.
