i still buy sneakers every now and then.... but nowhere near the pace of before... theres just so much garbage out there whether its colorways or quality

I think those downplaying "collecting" are a combination of those who can't understand people who emphasize quantity>quality andindividuals who simply grew out of it. I know I'm long past the days of paying 300+ for a pair no matter how much I like them
And not directly at you but I hate when people act like just because its called "Niketalk" that liking shoes or whatever is a requirement for stayinghere. We got a General, Music, and S&T section too, ya know..

i've been collecting as a hobby since 1995 (Grant Hill 1's). i was heavy into collecting until this year. reason being, i stopped working for nike(employee store). i haven't gotten with the fact that if i want something, i have to pay retail. the ES sells SB product now, so i'm especially madi'm not there anymore.
also as i get older (28 now), i don't have patience for the camping out. my recent camp-out experience (his black friday at wal-mart) reminds me of why idon't go put myself out there as much as i used to when it comes to sneakers. my patience has worn down for camp-outs. leave that garbage to the youngercats that have the stamina for that.
paying a mortgage also takes the passion away as well.

It's still appreciated even though there aren't as many good shoes coming out. My shoes look good cuz they're a size 16
