One of my biggest regrets is not buying a loft like that in downtown Detroit back during the recession. MFer was selling for $25k - less than a car. Bunch of friends and family talked me out of it... said "why would you ever want to buy a place in ghetto *** Detroit"

Now they sell for $250-400k.

The lighting that hangs over the island or under island lights? If over, you can wire some simple pendant light and add whatever shades you like. If for underneath you could run some string lighting.
