Not specifically your behalf, in general, but you said

Shouldn't that responsibility be on the ones touting the new hypothesis vs the established, widely believed one? To them there is no problem, there's nothing to prove. There's enough already out there that's trial and time tested that folks accept it as truth whether you do or not, full stop. There is no incentive to move it forward, the flat earthers side should have that. Stop wasting time deciphering delivery from the opposition and do just that (again in general), solve your problem and move it forward with substance, not intuition. It's guaranteed to be far more effective.

GPS work with ground towers... why do you lose service in the moutains or gps signal in the sticks? because your too far away from the towers.. not because the satellites cant find you... lol , i cant believe actual human beings cannot comprehend the fact that GPS and cell phone service sucks in the burbs... satellies should have no problems in those areas if they work from space, correct???

spaceX is a new private company who claims to help NASA, i aint got no beef with space X... they dont put out composite images and they only claim to go to low earth orbit... 

its 2017 and we cant get out of low earth orbit... lol

I say coddling because of the general attitude about flat earth. Media treats it like a joke but continues giving it exposure. Then some of the supporters who make less and less sense the more you confront them with questions. FE should be confronted just like climate change denial and any other effort to discredit scientific study/push negative ideology. But it's difficult because the two sides can't find an agreeable source.

I can somewhat understand climate change denial. It's a very backwards view but the science behind it is complicated and not 100% set in stone. It is also an ongoing problem and science subject. At the end of the day it still requires denial or strong skepticism of science to argue that it is a hoax etc. but I generally don't really see it as a mental health concern.

With flat earthers, I can't really say the same. The debate around the earth being round has been settled ages ago and the amount of denial and complete misunderstanding required to even contemplate the theory of the earth being flat is just straight up delusional. Much less actually believing it.

If I had a family member or close friend seriously talking about flat earth, I would do my best to confront them and try to get them professional mental help. At the same time there's nothing wrong with seeking mental help when you need it, I have done so when I needed it. There's no shame in that. Not that everyone who contemplates flat earth has mental health problems but with time it could certainly devolve into that if the issue is not confronted properly. When a person starts to deny gravity, basic laws of physics, ... where does it end?

my dude i wrote the word last night... wanna know what i did??? got up at 6am went to work until 5pm.... went uptown after work to chill with the homie burned like 4 Ls, dropped off his uncle at the airport, came back to the projects, picked up some beats, smoked another, went to wendys, walked down to 110th to check my other homie, in between that i found the time to check this thread and post the word empiricalistically ... went to bed at 130 am woke up at 6am and checked this thread when i got into work seeing that i spelled the word wrong. googled it for a spell check and posted it really quick.. sorry that i mistook one word for another.. its not that serious 

instead of trying to belittle me for a spelling error get back on the topic
