I went TTS, personally I wouldn't suggest sizing down.

I gave these to my 13 year old son today since they were tight for me( I wore them for about 10 minutes) and he went from a size 10.5 to a 12 over the summer.

I explained the colors of the firefighters and he loved the history of it.
