So i know these HALs are the brick & mortar pack BUT are the shoes actually sold together as a pack or are you able to purchase them individually.
Dont think this has been addressed but im assuming its sold as a pack?

Man, the Mortars are a nice, simple colorway...but I can't believe people are going crazy about it. If it was a GR I don't think many people would care

Every store here (HAL, Up There and Laced) has sold them individually with a small discount if you buy both.

Yeah, someone said that earlier and now I am leaning towards agreeing with them. Don't get me wrong, I want the Mortars, have since they showed the first pictures. I'm a sucker for grey shoes but now I'm starting to see what people are saying, these are pretty basic but the hype is beyond belief and the release is painful for sure. Oh well, less stress and on to the next one.

what the heck...so im looking at a pair of mortars a friend in sydney bought (he sent me a pic after he bought them), and it shows the nylon tongue/collar (the old scrapped version). your pic shows the canvas version that we loved in the original HAL sample pics last year. im so confused what happened with this release. he bought the pack. it was either $350 for both, or $180 for one.
edit - nevermind, i talked to another mate i figured would know the answer, and sure enough he did. HAL got all those canvas pairs, and since they went to the Up There pop up in Melbourne, that's how you ended up with a pair... everyone else in australia (and the rest of the world) got the nylon pairs. although i heard the canvas was actually scrapped because it frays badly, and isnt as comfortable. it does look nicer to me though.

Oh wow, you're right - I thought the whole recall thing was purely because of the nylon around the ankle and that HAL only wanted to release the canvas pairs, but now that you mention it the pictures used by Laced and Kith show the nylon.
