Asics Love?!? Where is it?

Exactly my point—wearing shoes you genuinely like is great. However, wearing shoes you would’ve mocked someone for three years ago, just because they’re now trendy, is undeniably corny.

With that said, many of you are just trend followers, which is pretty lame—just like most Asics. This isn’t a diss to Asics, as I’ve been rocking Asics and New Balance for years. However, let’s be honest, most of their designs are just recycled and not particularly appealing.

These are how all my pairs looked, one or two wears and done. 2003ish ...

Gatekeeping the brand?
Not at all—it just seems like the new generation is so focused on seeking validation, and it’s honestly corny. They rely on platforms like GOAT and StockX to determine if a shoe is “hot” based on resale value, rather than forming their own opinions. Like I said, I’ve been rocking Asics for years, and every now and then, they drop something I think is worth grabbing. But it wasn’t until late last year or early this year that kids even started recognizing the brand.

In fact, I was like the “grandfather” I joked about before. Now, I’m called too old just because I throw on some Asics here and there. It’s pathetic that people who only discovered the brand a year ago now act like it’s the next big thing, even though they’ve been putting out a lot of mediocre designs for a while.

Personally, I prefer my No Days Off and Better Days New Balances over most sneakers out there. Back in 2020, I was literally called corny for wearing them, and now that same person thinks they’re killing it in Action Brunsons—which, honestly, are hot garbage. Hypebeasts have always existed, but this new wave takes it to a whole new level of absurdity.

Man SU!—I've already made my point. I said what I said, Asics are trash, and they been putting put trash for a while. Trying to give me a lecture about “wearing what you want” is honestly laughable. What a joke!

Lmao! If you don’t like Asics so much then why the hell are you at an Asics thread talking **** to everybody else that likes it? Why are you so bothered that you took time out of your day to type those long *** paragraphs?

trends are cyclical and 2000s running shoes were going to have their time to shine especially when they have great comfort

no disrespect to what bodega did to these 997S, but guys, let's not entertain someone that prefers these joints over many other of what's been released recently

Loved my No Days Off joints , but they were a size too big. Ended up sellin ‘em and grabbing a dope gr 997S tho

Random question. I picked up a pair of KITH Green Goblins from a friend who needed to make some cash. Plan on getting rid of / trading because they aren't my size. That being said, is it better to keep them sealed with the comic...or open and see which comic they came with before unloading? Appreciate any input.
