Asian Culture Discussion Thread

Look man.

I love chopsticks. LOOOVE chopsticks. I even use them at certain places. I OWN some. All I'm saying is that i prefer to use a spoon and fork when I eat. It's more proficient to me. If you prefer chopsticks over a spoon and fork then that's fine.

And if the term "ancient sticks" was offensive then that's my bad.

Only time I prefer chopsticks over a spoon and fork is if I'm at a Chinese restaurant and don't feel like asking the waiter for one. Otherwise if both are available to me, my Chinese self is using the fork.

Every person who knows how to use chopsticks knows that plastic ones are evil AF. I'm a veteran (I can pick up nearly everything using chopsticks) and I do not like the plastic ones.

I'm ok with the plastic....but I feel like I got better grip and feel with wooden chopsticks

I really don't like the metal ones though
Those feel weird

plastic ones are fine if it's regular length, just those long *** ones aint happening.

metal is the best imo, i like the added weight.

Meh
Maybe I rarely eat with metal chopsticks so I'm not used to it

Anyway, have you guys ever heard of the dating app East Meets East?

It wouldn't hurt to try if someone is looking for a non-American. I need to meet some Japanese girls.

Surprisingly I have been able to match with a few Asians on Tinder
Problem is most of them don't reply back lol

She talked about that a few years ago. If it helped her get more auditions and roles then it was smart of her. Not her fault casting directors see an Asian last name and automatically cross her off. I feel like she's been going against jamie chung for roles and losing out though. They must be real world fans.

I don't see a problem with changing your name.

Hollywood is not changing any time soon, despite what they want everyone to think (e.g. they're not racist).

Oscar Isaac did similar and has been flourishing. Sometimes, you just need to get your foot in the door no matter what.

I don't have a problem with her changing her name, she's just trying to get that :emoji_dollar::emoji_dollar::emoji_dollar:

It's kind of selling out....but it doesn't really hurt anybody

Hollywood is mad racist though lol
