Apple's September 12 invite hints at iPhone 5. Upgrade to iOS 6 now.

Question. I have a 4. Is it possible to get a brand-new 4S without starting another contract?
I'm on AT&T & just finished my last 2 year term. I enjoy the freedom.

It'll be possibly definitely. Idk what the values for the 4 are right now, I imagine in the mid 200s. You're most definitely going to have to pay a little more out of pocket to get the 4S out of contract

If a 32GB is going to be $299 then looks like i'll be going back to an apple phone. I've been able to get an upgrade since May but have been waiting for this and the Note II. I don't even think Verizon is getting the Note so I'll settle for this.

Overall it's meh. The black one looks dope as hell though.
A .5 inch in screen size boost=revolutionary to them :lol :{
iOS6 isn't anything different though....
im on the lookout for the new iPod Touch though.

I can't get with iPods anymore. I might just cop this new iPhone (considering I have a 4, and I have a feeling iOS 6 will give it a performance lag) and then hopefully that Pad mini releases and I can go crazy on that.

They're talking about the iPod now

Nano finally has bluetooth. Bout dang time...however now that it has a different form factor I can't wear it as a watch and listen to my tunes. Sigh.

upgrading from my droid x

doesn't seem like much of an upgrade from a 4s, however I can't think of any groundbreaking features that you can add to a smartphone this day and age, but then if I did, I'd be working for apple

I just don't see the point in creating a new connector? Have people been having problems with the old one? I thought having a universal connector across most apple products was a brilliant idea. Why fix what isn't broken?

Its a tax on s consumer base to generate instant revenue..word to da Knicks

Sabotaging da "New York" font on da new jerseys.... >D

I agree with the idea of holding off on the 5 if you have the 4S. At the crux of it all, the screen's half an inch bigger. After Sept. 19th the iOS6 will be out for the 4S, so the phones will be pretty much the same. I'll stick to mines and hold off on this one. I mean, I put all my apps in 4 folders at the top & three folders on the bottom dock. So having 5 rows of apps means nothing to me because I essentially only use one. In all honesty, I don't see why this phone took 11 months to announce. They could very well marketed it under the 4S line, just note its bigger screen.

I'm not to particular about the processor or the 4G LTE. I'm almost always on a wifi network so my 4S runs fast enough.

Like other people said, if you have a 4, 3GS, or a 3G, go ahead and cop that cop that (what you working wiiiit?). But if you're using a 4S, stick with it... unless you think half of an inch and an A6 processor is worth $200+.

They should stop having these big announcements and hyped events around the launch of every new iphone.

Each new generation is just a facelift at best. The first iphone was revolutionary. The rest of these are just incremental upgrades.

It's like car manufacturers. When they redesign a car every 4 or 5 years, then the world should pay attention. But who cares about the minor changes from year to year.

This isn't a bad thing. The iphone is and has always been a well-polished item from the beginning.

However, they just want us all to believe that each year's new version is a must-have improvement over the previous year.

iPad Mini is rumored to be announced next month. This media event was only for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Nano.
