If you feel like you need a case for your phone there's nothing wrong with that what so ever. Some are more accident prone than others and again these phones aren't cheap. I do however find certain cases obnoxious particularly the ones that cover the phone but have a cut out to show the apple logo on the back. It's like "I want everyone to know I have an iPhone but I still want it covered up and safe"

Apple Care + is actually $130 . $30 for the first 2 incidents , $99 for all others.

They just changed the pricing.

If I drop it I drop it. It looks ugly af in cases so I'll take my chances. I'm not clumsy so I don't have to worry about destroying a phone in 12 monthd.

Pretty much.

I go raw and upgrade every 2 years. IF (and that's a strong if) I break my screen and get it replaced for 150 within a 2 year span, I'm still saving money than someone buying new phones and cases every year.
