Is the Vision Pro V1 a bust or what. Seems like it came and went and nobody gaf about it anymore. I think Apple played themselves selling it at the price point they did. Basically only the hardcore techies and folks who can afford to throw money at everything bothered to cop. $3500 is also way too much. I’d be hesitant to cop for $1500, add another 2 bands on top of that and they can rot in the warehouse just like those overpriced over the ear headphones they sell that nobody is buying. Apple come back down to earth.

I think it's a success depending on who you ask, I think personally it underperformed

It was never meant to be mass market but it really didn't move the needle in VR they said it would

idk where you’re at but i see airpod max all over LA
Atlanta. They’re def. not a thing here and we have the busiest airport in America that I travel in and out of seemingly every other week. For every AirPod Max you’ll see 200 AirPods/pro earbuds by ratio, but honestly over the ear headphones are not really that popular these days to casuals, and I still don’t see them that often despite Atlanta being the wannabe/put me on rapper headquarters.

that’s wild. i agree that airpod pros out number them by a ton but i still see a ton of maxs here. at gym there’s 4-5 at any given moment. plus there’s always a few walking around the neighborhood. maybe it’s a west LA thing

I mean I see them, but it’s not like you would think. The gym is definitely the most likely place to spot them.

Air Pod Maxes are wildly popular.

IMO the amount I see them out in the wild with the fact that they are expensive and cumbersome compared to buds supports that.

And I don’t think it’s about audio quality, it’s about aesthetic.

I think lots of people are using the Maxes as a fashion statement as much as headphones.

They’re like 2024 version of beats in that way.

I’ve never even tried them, is the quality on them good for the price? I’ve got air pod pros because they’re convenient for work but I don’t think the quality on them is anything out of this world. They aren’t super expensive of course but the convenience of them is a sell for me

Same, got air pod pros but definitely Would buy the max if they are worth it

I only see over the ear headphones at airports. I’ve seen maybe 1-2 people with Air Pod Maxes. They were on my shortlist but went with Bose QC Ultras based on value and features.

eh some do but as someone who appreciates good audio they really are hard to beat imo
especially since they integrate so nicely with the iphone in terms of the controls/buttons
noise cancelling is great on em

Air pod maxes are the best traveling headphones imo, best noise cancelling and really good sound quality, I use them at the gym as well but find them a bit uncomfortable to do upper body/any cardio

Copped a fully loaded Midnight 13'' MacBook Air for the mobility and to take some usage time away from my 16'' M1 MacBook Pro that I'm still in love with.

You can never have too many Macs...

My phones back cracked the other night while asleep (cons of hardwood floors) so I guess that’s a sign that it’s time to upgrade this year. Not really trippin off the crack since my phone stays in a case that covers it but the battery life has clearly nosedived over the years. Once I hit 20% the percentages start dropping quick. Regular 12 from 2020.
