What size do you have? The 55" is on sale at Best Buy and Costco and I'm highly considering it.
No ragrets?55 inch.
No ragrets?
IMO, best budget brand TV you can get. 6 series is a great price right now. Had a 2019 TCL 5 series and I loved it.
Contemplating now if I should go for a 65" Series 6 or a 55" x900h.
I'll consider them, but better than LG or Samsung at the same price range?I couldn't recommend them now. my folks's TCL was toast after 2 years of use.
Based on the reviews I’ve read and watched, yes.I'll consider them, but better than LG or Samsung at the same price range?
What do you think about this one? Think this is the 5 series you mentioned. You can get a decent 50 inch for under $400... check out the TCL 4 series or wait for a 5 to go on sale.

the board is fried. no point in repairing and out of warranty. so just decided to buy a new one instead.toast how?
I'd say wait it out. I wouldn't upgrade til something substantially different comes out. at the end of the day, it's still oled with a few modifications. For my oled heads, what yall think of the G1 if you're coming from an E7
Worth it? Or not much of a picture upgrade? Just curious.
Wait a few more generations? I'm patient.
The picture will still look good. IMO, if you're gaming, there is a gaming mode you can turn on and adjust the settings to help with response time. You'll still have a good picture. What do you think about this one? Think this is the 5 series you mentioned.
I went from a B7 to a CX and the upgrade in picture quality (color accuracy and contrast) is very noticeable. Early reviews are very positive about the evo panel in the G1. Significantly better in terms of brightness, upscaling, and contrast compared to last year. For my oled heads, what yall think of the G1 if you're coming from an E7

None whatsoever.
Maybe wished I should've gone 65 inch.
Couldn't game? Because of the screen size?I got a 65 inch TCL for the low from Target. No complaints either. Happy I didn’t drop 1k+ on a tv be like I planned to do because I realized I couldn’t game on a tv this size. Ended up getting the 65 inch TCL for the living room, 40 inch Vizio for the bedroom and 32 inch gaming monitor for like 1k total.
Yeah, it's going to be used mostly for gaming. Preparing for whenever Series X/PS5s become more readily available. The picture will still look good. IMO, if you're gaming, there is a gaming mode you can turn on and adjust the settings to help with response time. You'll still have a good picture.
The series 6 would be a better option for gaming. But if Series 5 is in your budget, then it would be good too. I played on the Series 5 and was happy with the picture and response time when gaming.Yeah, it's going to be used mostly for gaming. Twice as brightI went from a B7 to a CX and the upgrade in picture quality (color accuracy and contrast) is very noticeable. Early reviews are very positive about the evo panel in the G1. Significantly better in terms of brightness, upscaling, and contrast compared to last year.
Brightness is the main knock on OLEDs and the evo panel gets almost twice as bright as previous models. This sounds like a major step forward instead of an incremental upgrade.
Yea, 65 inch TV was too much to play a shooter/action game on for me. It's fine for slower placed games.Couldn't game? Because of the screen size?
