Is the one on Polk really the same company? Three times Shalimar on Polk was a great spot until I watched the guy accept cash into the register (the regularregister guy was out)then walk over and pound the Nan and put it in the oven... Nasty. How can someone in this day and age of food regulation not wash theirhands or have someone else handle the money.??? How are they not shut down.. Three different times!
Also, the Naan n Curry on O'farrel is just as bad. I was near the back and peeked into kitchen, the workers were under so much pressure to get the job donethat they merely were wiping off the plate with wet rags and stacking them back out on the self serve shelfs... I found this out after I reached for a plateand it had hardened encrusted rice on the bottom side of the plate... so I ducked into the kitchen and saw what was happening. Nasty...
