Yes, another laptop thread. 
I'm looking for a laptop that will cost within 6-700 shipped to my doorstep.

I don't need a powerhouse, as it'll just be for schoolwork and wasting time i.e. downloading music, youtube browsing, hulu etc.

I'd like a backlit keyboard if possible, good screen. LA county tax is 9.75% which is why i've been looking through amazon moreso than any other site, but if you have anything good then by all means post it.

I wouldnt get an HP. IMO, go for Sony or Dell has great specs for the price.

I was on SD last month and got a HP dv6 with a wireless printer for 475 shipped. Nothing special, but I don't need much from it. I don't watch movies or do any crazy !%+# on it, just dl music and surf the web
