no it was more of a romantic comedy.

every morning the girl would go to a diner and order some kind of waffle or pancake and she did this everyday because she never realizes that the day changes. and her parents play along

and then the guy tries to make her realize whats going on.

i thought RetroSan was referring to Memento, since that is exactly what happens in the movie
never saw the entire 50 first dates movie, so it may be the same thing
