The one thing I was confident in prior to the game was the front-court guys.
Brand, 2-5. Kaman, 6-7. Wright, 4-7. Combined 12/19. GOTTA feed those guys more. Don't need Wince getting off 14 shots, or Troy bumass Murphy bricking three perimeter shots. Don't want Roddy forcing up 7 shots either.
We fed our big guys a lot better in the first half. In that third quarter when we were dying for offense, we didn't get the ball to Wright and Kaman enough. Melo and Tyson were out at the time, that's when to attack, but instead we settled for Vince, Troy, Jae, and Roddy chucking perimeter shots.
That's an attribute to you guys keeping the ball out of the paint though. Yall won it. Props.

I thought relative to previous seasons he kept pretty calm. Dude took an elbow to the ribs and didn't retaliate. Even I wanted to get in there and kicks jones in the nuts.

Maybe it's better people keep doubting us. People been writing this squad off since before the season even started. Let them go the Giants route and win under the radar for a while. While they make excuses we'll win games.

There are very few teams that pose a challenge in MSG right now to this team. Mavs, are/were not one of them with their diluted talent.. I didn't watch a second of this and didn't need to.
Real tests come Thursday/Friday when they play good teams on the road. Even then, who really cares. This team is nearly unstoppable at home - and that will go a long way in the East.

As long as the ball keeps moving, this is one of the most dangerous teams in the league. I felt it was last spring before things went awry. It's just a matter of sustaining it when it has all the parts.

Is it the tortured pessimistic fan in me saying that there's no chance this type of d, effort, ball movement can be somewhat sustained all season? This **** is too good to be true.
I thought this team had major potential on paper but after these 4 games man...what happens when this team starts to gel? :x
Only 2 concerns right now are injuries and egos imo. If dudes are just gonna grind all season than major major props to Woody. I never would have imagined dude would get through to his squad like this. Like dude has even gotten JR to play composed and make good decisions, bust his *** on defense, box out, everything, son passed up semi open 3's w the shot clock running down twice at least tn, I couldn't believe that when it happened. Woody deserves a nobel peace prize for his work with JR so far.

He was off last season coming back from China but I've always loved the guys hustle. He wants to win and always plays hard no matter what is asked of him.

The Mavs were very much in this game in the first half, without their best player, without their best defender.
The Knicks beat us fairly, but to say that we didn't pose a threat? Okay...

That is why you don't troll other teams season threads your bound to see something that you don't like especially after getting beat. Also its corny when you try to argue with someone in their thread because of their said feelings . Your team plays a soft brand of basketball predicated by one career underachiever who has been insane from 3 "for 4 games" accompanied by a whole squad that plays no D. You shouldn't be upset that he didn't need to watch the game because it was a very good chance all that junk was gonna stop dropping in the second half especially against a good defensive team on the road. Take the L stop complaining and beat us at home in a couple weeks bro

I've noticed melo, Tyson, and Sheed really been using their butt to get the defender off them. like ive never seen melo and tyson do it THIS much. And it's working very well. Just straight up truck the guy defending them with their butt which gives space for a shot or driving to the hoop.
Can you be called for a foul doing this? Or is this still just fundamentally sound basketball and Im not used to it because we have been terrible for so long.
