I'm all for nostalgia, but IDK about this one.
The article says that his family agreed to it.
We'll see how it sounds.

This is going to be interesting. Part of the Jordan mystique is that since he has retired, isn't very accessible. He doesn't give a lot of interviews, doesn't go on podcasts and hasn't had a media career.
If Jordan starts firing off bad basketball takes people are going to start looking at him funny

Just saw the announcement
I don't think Mike will say much in the way of real analysis because he's never been like that. Love Mike and he's been the goat to me for a long long time, but one thing sorely lacking was him talking like you see LeBron and Kobe talk about the game. Talking about the plays. Talking about sets and structure. I think the most known thing he said was that if Lebron goes left he's going to pull up. If he goes right, he's going to the basket, so force him left (or whatever direction was which).
I think he'll sound like a Boomer. That's fine with me.
Honestly, could it be ANY worse than Shaq and Chuck? Loved Chuck playing, hate Chuck as an "analyst". Love Shaq playing but hate most things he says beyond just generic talking about a guy who has talent and isn't realizing it.
But it's nice to see mike pop out. Hopefully he shows![]()
NBC is not bringing him in to give a critical analysis of the game there bringing him because he's MICHAEL ******* JORDAN
Not the swerve you think it is. He's gotten clowned over the years for his (lack of) talent evaluation. I'm just interested in what he's going to say. It's been nearly 30 years since he threepeated. The game is in a different place stylistically.
Telling you he's going to sound like a washed Boomer unless he has specific things he wants to point out. I think he'll do best if he tells never heard before stories, shares his take on the goat debate given the distance, and talks about his philanthropy.
But if it's just Shaq & Chuck type "he should be getting 5 more rebounds a game", it's going to be weak AF. Personally I'm looking forward to it and I'm glad he's coming on tv to talk hoops in what feels like the first time in forever
