SNKRS still hasn’t shipped my pair yet. They must be way behind because of Christmas

Totally disagree dude. This is hands down the best retro of the 7 ever all things considered. The 2006 had that incredible triangular shape, but it was really far away from 1992 shape. Not a bad retro, but there’s still work to be done.
06 > 22
Toes on these look built for Bugs Bunny like I mentioned earlier in the thread.
06 way more sleeker.

Here's another comparison. I found a listing of a Deadstock OG pair of 1992 Cardinal 7s on ebay. It seems like the toe varies from pair to pair as with these, you can see that the OG pair has a straight downward slope toward the toe before it becomes a bit more boxy/dropping off in a cliff esque way. The toe on the '22, at least on my pair, lacks that transition from a straight slope to a cliff toe and is a bit more rounded overall.Honest to God, I'm not sure what some of you guys want out of the toebox on 7's and 6's. Some of y’all have convinced yourselves that the OG toeboxes were flat and smushed down, when they absolutely had a shelf/cliff toe. The toes on AJ 6-8 only flattened out when they had been stepped on and dented up. The toeboxes on those Ray Allens were an abomination because they tried to flatten/streamline them, and it killed the entire shape of the shoe when they started getting broken in. These are about as close as we've ever gotten on a 7. Here's a DS OG Bordeaux from a few pages back for reference...
These pics, 4of12 and 6of12, illustrate what I was try to say. Look at how flat the area over the toes is from the bottom of the tongue to the tip of the toe. All of the sloping was done. Now look at the pics of the ‘22, and you’ll see it’s still sloping down over the toes because the shoe overall is more bulky. Here's another comparison. ^^ this
Fam talking about what do y’all want. And posting a Taiwan Bordeaux with the 2 upper eyelets while other had 3, or with complete different shapes and toes.

I'm with you brother... In terms of shape comparison to the og, 06>22.We can agree to disagree.
Well said post though
