i hope and i pray they get a legit competitor. it's just wrong that sellers have no leverage. you can't leave deadbeat buyers negative feedback, paypal will sometimes put your funds on hold until the buyer receives the item, and the fees keep increasing and increasing with no regard or respect for sellers. the items i search regularly i've been noticing less and less listings for them over the years so slowly but surely people are finding other ways and options to sell aside from ebay.

His timing will be completely off for your purposes though. He's in The Netherlands so shipping was probably at MOST 2 days and that was with all the weather delays.

They may get a legit competitor, but it'll take quite a while to get on Ebay's level...
The problem is they KNOW there's nobody that even comes close to what they do. It's damn near a monopoly...the upstarts that HAVE tried, appear to be a scam, or people are hesistant to deal with 'em.
IDK...there's no protection for the sellers, the fees are out the *+%, PayPal locks your money up (I cussed a lady out a few weeks ago in regards to that...didnt mean to, but she pissed me off), etc, etc....not to mention they have THE WORST customer service I've EVER seen....they dont even have a 800 number to contact them anymore. Every number you call does nothing but give you a website URL. The only people that can get you in, is PayPal...got transferred a few weeks ago, and was on hold for 1 hr.37 mins (literally)...I also tried to chat, but was #268 in que....

just called NIKE since my order still says "processing", the woman was awesome. She told me my order will be picked up tonight and I will have it 2marrow, "weather permitting"...sooooo relieved!

so heres my story: i had to work a half day today and then had my xmas lunch with my coworkers afterwards at Fogo De Chao in downtown Chicago, so I sent my mother to go scoop my pairs from my brother's DTLR on Stoney Island. she calls me around 9:20 saying she's lost! I don't have much time to look up the address and I didnt know it off the top of my head because he just got transferred there a few months ago. So she calls me back saying she'll have to cop them when she gets off work, which was around 4. I was effin' irate and felt like punching a wall, but I tell her to call my brother to arrange a time to pick up the shoes.She tells me he's coming to her job to scoop the cash from her on his lunch break and will cop them when he gets back to the store. So he does and all is well..except his store only got 1 10.5 in his store. the other 10.5 was at the 95th street DTLR. I strongly contemplated going to River Oaks to scoop another 10-10.5 but Cool Greys aren't one of my favorite XIs so I didnt even bother. I'd rather use the money to cop some South Beach Lebron 8s (which I was going to trade the 2nd pair for). anywho, heres a few pics:

amazingly as bad as paypal is now, they were way worse 4-5 years ago, but %%%% pisses me off. i didn't have a single negative feedback or bad transaction in 2 years, they randomly started putting holds on all my sales. i called them and told them i was going to cancel all my auctions and refund all my buyers and tell them to pay me with a money order or google checkout and if they didn't want to they wouldn't have to do the deal, after about an hour of back and forth with their reps they finally lifted the limit but it's frustrating.

got my confirmation email from FNL (thank god)... managed to pick up my girls pair at the mall (thank my alarm clock)... got there at 4am didn't get in the mall till 7:45... everything was sold out by 8... they opened the doors and started escorting groups at 6
glad i got one pair... sorry to all the pepz that missed out... sucks to see lil kids cry when their parents dragged em outta bed to get sent home with NOTHING!

hell yah they are.got my spacejams up also , but no rape price.It is christmas,so, i felt kinda giving,put my 01 cg 11's size 11 for 135.00...lol..yah I know, Im a lil crazy for that..but you know what....if it only sells for 135 to someone who cant afford the rape prices, then I'll be happy for them

Just came from the downtown shopping center in SF to exchange my 8 for an 8.5 and I still saw guys picking up their size 9.5s in the FTL. They are pairs out there if anyone still needs them. just have to do a little calling around. I was gone keep the 8 too but I thought I'd make some one's holiday so I just swapped. Good luck to all those still on the hunt.

These are coo. But you're right, they are not like the 2001 retros. Those felt like pillows on your feet. Im not over stating it either. These feel ok compared to the SJs from last year. Over all I'm glad I got my pair.
