They had a sale when I bought 5 sets. Ya not cheap. Neither are all the shoes we buy

I could see getting some on sale. But for normal retail, not a chance. Not for me. Good point, the shoes are expensive enough at retail.

And $16 laces ain’t really much… makes a big difference. I’m ready to snag the neutral grey pair for my NG1

Just in place of the paper that comes stuffed in the toes, and cheaper than paying for shoe trees.

Cedar shoe trees are a pretty good investment tho. Catch them on sale at Jos A Bank and they're only $10-12 a set. I have at least 30 pairs that sit in my 1s.

Another benefit of shoe trees is that they keep your shoes smelling fresh. FWIW, the wood supposedly absorbs moisture so that fungus isn’t able to thrive.

Works for dress shoes cos most of them aren’t breathable and my feet be sweating during the day

Late to the party but finally got a pair. Overall very happy with them. Wish JB would use the 85’ mold to exclusively reproduce the original colorways and use the retro high OG mold for all other colors/collabs.
