So these Banned AJ 31's that are dropping are apparently meant to be the Air Jordan 1 re-thought for the modern day. 'What the Air Jordan 1 would be like, if it was made in 2016" (flyknit upper turning into leather heel and neoprene sock inside)
Got me thinking - Maybe Jordan Brand is starting from scratch on all the models. instead of dropping retro after retro after retro and that business plan getting old and boring and not something they can continue to rely on...... Maybe now each new AJ that comes out will be that original number eing reimagined with how that shoe would be if it was made today with todays tech.
So will the AJ 32 be a re thought out AJ2 using modern day materials and tech?
Will the AJ 3 be rethought out for the AJ 33.
If this is what they are doing, I can't wait to see the AJ 33 and the AJ36.
To be honest, retro after retro dropping every weekend is getting old and people are losing interest so from a business perspective, I think if they are reimagining the retros with todays materials and tech and we see them drop in order, then the Jordan Brand is going to be doing some very cool shoes in the future and a whole new business plan to keep the brand alive.
Anyone else think this is what is going to happen?
This video kind of says it all really. I just hope they continue it with each new years model.
(wouldn't hurt the value of the shoes already released either)
