Well right now I think in this thread we are in a circle of those who care about the history.

Hope I don’t go too far with this, but this is why the LeBron line(or any other sig) will ever reach the Jordan plateau. There is absolutely no lore nor history behind some of their best kicks. Though the history may not matter to today’s generation of sneaker buyers, the generation it did matter to is a big part of the reason the sneaker culture is popular today. Us true enthusiasts know the story behind kicks start on the court or field. And yes sometimes just through art. But in the moments of growth and glory through play it means so much more.

I just wanna throw this out there... those of yall speaking on the OGs having Italian leather, yall do realize the whole shoe wasn't made of Italian leather, right? Only the snakeskin-esque mid panels on the medial and laterals sides were Italian leather.

Pair delivered today after winning on the Ship 2 Me drawing from Footlocker

Decided to throw in some white laces that I had from my Social Status Air Max Penny joints that were just sitting in a baggy

I actually prefer this look more than the black laces

It's clean. It also appears that Jordan wore a pair with white laces against the Detroit Pistons on March 3, 1987. Scored 61 points in a Bulls victory. Gonna try this look as well on my pair.

Got mine in from Snkrs finally and the quality isn’t great. The Maison Chateau seems like the closest leather quality to OG I’ve seen still as far as retro 2’s go. The pleather on these, abundance of glue… pretty weak after hyping the attention to OG details.

Cardinal 7’s had none of those issues nor did the FR 3’s. Those and the black/yellow 1’s are my favorites from 2022. These could have been them if the materials had delivered. So stupid you need a collar to get decent materials. I’m sure the lows will get the same subpar treatment too sadly.

Meant to cop 1 or 2 and ended up with more than I bargained for. Spent a little more for 1-2 of them but these are three different pairs with 3 different cuts/leather. Just something I started to notice as pairs came in. Of all three, I like 2 and 3 the most. 2 gives me that thick flat leather look that OG II’s should have and 3 gives me that premium leather feel they should have with a more textured look. The wing on the side is also smoother and less textured on 1 Vs 2 Vs 3 but I couldn’t get a pic to show it. Crazy thing is all pairs are solid if you ask me.. just minor leather differences and cuts. My top pair is (2) because they give me heavy 94/95 vibes.

My best leather wise (3) ended ip being an 11 and it’s looking like I’m a 10.5 so those will be up for grabs. Anyway, pics aren’t the best but here’s some Monday geeking for y’all:
