I just got a pair in from StockX and they smell, like chemical smell, really bad. I have a message into StockX. Any idea what they might do and if this has happened to anyone else?

It’s whatever they use to finish/seal the leather. I remember the 2017 All-Star (Hornets) 6s had some of the worst chemical smell ever-these probably have a similar finish.

If that’s the case it doesn’t smell that bad

Yeah, it’s definitely Nike’s issue but the smell is whatever chemicals they are using at the factory. I own many pairs of 6s and those 2017 AS 6s are the only ones that had a smell that strong. Other people on NT noticed this with their pairs as well. On the flip side, my XX9 lows smelled AMAZING-idk what Nike used in those but that smell was great.
