Oreo V's sat for months, yet it was reported they sold more units than any other Jordan last year. The Oreo V's that had absolutely no hype. That should tell everyone that sitting in stores says absolutely nothing about sales. A shoe can sit for months because it's genuinely disliked. Or it could sit because there are just that many pairs. Either way, its not the only factor in how well the shoe is selling. What's more, I wouldn't even say the Infrared's "sat" in the general term as if no one wanted them and they're still widely available in stores. Infrared 3's, Infrared 6's, Powder Blue 10's, none of them sold out the morning of release, but they still sold out within a few days/weeks.
