Saw these in both tumbled leather and the soft, nubuck-like material JB uses on IIIs from time to time (ie powder blues, stealths, etc.)
If these drop in tumbled leather I may pick them up, depends on how much I'd need to tone down the shine of the chrome elephant print.
If they drop in the nubuck-esque material, no way
In my opinion, IIIs must always be tumbled leather.
But to each their own.

Man, I'm fence-sitting, too.
I don't buy shoes if I feel like I need to customize them.
And these will need a slight elephant print alteration, for me.
Gameday decision.

That's a GS pair. How can you decide they don't look so good from those pics IMO...

.. I think that white midsole should have been black.
