Overall I really enjoy both pairs and will send back my other extra 3 Vietnam pairs and keep one China and my already worn and loved Vietnam.

Is it me, or are the red lace eyelets more vibrant on the China pair?China made pair finally came in. China on left and it is baffling how different they are from the Vietnam pairs. Namely the tongue heights which look much better on the China produced versions imo. Other subtle differences others have mentioned here is the China pairs have lower EP, a less boxy toe, and a matte finish leather. I much prefer the Vietnam leathers as they are softer and have a nicer looking tumble as well as a subtle sheen to the finish.
Overall I really enjoy both pairs and will send back my other extra 3 Vietnam pairs and keep one China and my already worn and loved Vietnam.

I’ve really been enjoying just wearing the hell out of my 2018 pair since I doubled on these. The shortcomings in the 2018’s get less and less noticeable the more worn they get and these shoes will always look amazing, regardless of the minute details we obsess over.

To expand on your sentiment, I would take a single pair of Vietnam 2024s that have been mowed in over an endless supply of deadstock 2018s.
