AIR JORDAN 3 BLACK CEMENT - NOVEMBER 23, 2024

It looks like they were going for the shape from '94 based on what I saw in the video posted earlier. If true, then that leaves room for a true OG '88 model later down the road

Maybe you're confused by my message? Do you think I don't believe they have lots of molds and haven't seen all the different shapes of releases? It's obvious with these and the White Cements. My point was why would they change anything shape-wise from the White Cements? Why would they go through the trouble to make the changes.

No, I get what you're saying. I was just speaking on the money part, it's clear with all the changes over the years that it isn't a factor. Even now like you are saying they changed it from the WC, so why would they if it was expensive?

Your other question is something only Nike/JB can answer. Is it incompetence? A mistake? They don't care? Or is it on purpose? I'll wait until we see more of the BCs, but if what we are seeing is the real thing, it's hard not to think they are doing it on purpose. Those Cement Greys are a clear example of what people want, and a real shoe you can hold in your hand that's been made well, so why not make the BCs like those?

Oh ok gotcha. I agree 100%.

Might be the 1st time I ever skipped a JB shoe release twice, BC3 are the grails to me. 2018 EP looked horrible, shape was ok. Comparing these to the WC3 from last year is a travesty, shape looks like fakes, leather looks cheap. #pass

You're not alone, G. I'm thinking about passing these altogether, too. I ain't really trippin' on having to wait another 5 to 7 years. I have more than enough to tide me over.

As much as I hate posts about "the turn", this is a shoe and a thread that will absolutely experience this
Put money on it
We will revisit this post a week before release.

Lol man majority of people are clowns or just blind, this shoe is going to basically be like the Reimagined WC in terms of shape and look. Every thread is like this until a month or two after release, when shoes are in hand. Once that happens you get all of the "yO tHeSe aRe oNe of tHe BEst reLeASes ever!" posts.

I never said these weren't better than the 2018's. I just said that aside from the tongues, leather, and elephant print, they're basically ARE the 2018's. Plus, I also stated that something was off, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Look y'all, I wanna like these, but with the pairs I've been seeing so far have looked like 💩💩💩💩. Hopefully, the retails look better, because I'm really leaning towards passing on them.

💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

So aside from everything, they still just like the 2018s lol. Tongue, leather, and EP is 75% of the shoe bruv

This. I don’t understand all the complaining. We haven’t even seen official pics or retail pairs in hand yet. Those on the fence with these will get swept up in the hype, not just from the drop but holiday shopping in general, and cop. I guarantee it.

Based on what’s out there, these look exactly like 2023 WCs to me, minus the sail midsole. ‘23 WCs were wildly inconsistent and had horrible QC. Some factories had a darker sail midsole, inconsistent tumbled leather, etc. Notice how I haven’t mentioned the EP? It’s cause EP is never consistent and no two pairs are ever the same. The EP on these look exactly like ‘23 WCs.

It’s widely accepted that ‘23 WCs are the closest they’ve gotten shape and EP-wise to the OGs. If they use the same molds and methods for these BCs, which why wouldn’t they, then these will easily jump to the top of the list of retro BCs.

All that said, I loved the ‘23 WC3s and will be in for as many pairs of these as I can get my hands on to pick out the pair that has the EP to my liking.

I think we’ll see the factory nonsense return when these drop. Some pairs will be on point and others will be mid or trash. Hopefully I can get a pair that look like the ones in that IG post on page 100.

Imma pretend that all we’ve seen is fakes with a few legits mixed in.

I know JB gon JB but if they goofed on this release it’s definitely intentional

In my dream world I find out about a release like 2 or 3 weeks before it happens, and then I'll either go for it or not.

All this months and months ahead of release trickling of potato cam photos, potential and likely fakes, bad actors with horrible pictures and videos, comparisons, commentary, and heated debate based on zero solid information is killing the whole sneaker game for me.

NT takes it way more seriously months ahead of time than the rest of the internet. The concentrated OCD discussion of various pics and nonsense from around the internet synthesized in one place. Tune out of the NT threads and you’ll be way less informed on useless BS until the release is at hand.

I been on NT for 20 years and can confirm that on any core OG retro of a popular shoe, Internet users on a message board are gonna critique the hell out of it.

People who think they're sneakerheads but not online on sites, etc will have opinions but still cop regardless.

The other 90% of people who buy the shoes don’t give a s*** about what we nit pick because they don’t even notice it.

This isn’t unique to NT, this is in any level of consumer products. Audiophiles on Reddit can’t believe that people can’t differentiate between 128 kbps and Lossless. My wife can’t tell the difference between a 720p LCD vs a 2160p OLED.

I’m gonna get em regardless because I like em and it’s not that serious for me…but I totally understand people who are historians and have a higher level of standards than I do.
