After all the speculation, how did the eggplant foamposites actually sell?

I was fairly certain with their being released in so many stores that they'd sell just like the black/cactus and black/red (slowly...) and when I went intomy local footaction on Wed they said that they had ordered a pair for someone the day before and knew of at least one store in Miami that had a full size run.anyways, i left the store feeling like I hadn't missed anything and would pick them up during the next F&F or when they get marked down...........butthen I checked ebay and they're going for $300+ so, what's the deal?

They sold well, and are virtually sold out everywhere.

The eggplant Flightposite was a hit.Now couple that colorway with the Foam 1 and that's pretty much a recipe for mayhem!

Is this guy serious when he thought that this release would be sitting on shelves??, wow, I can understand the other release like cactus and black and redjoints. But this are identical to the royal blue ones. Clean sole and that purple is crazy. Everyone was going crazy for the eggplant flightposites when theyfirst released and were retro's so why wouldn't you think these wouldn't be copped? Clear sole on a foamposite is a automatic sale. Snooze youlose. Happy with my pair

too all of those that said the eggplant flightposites were a big deal, maybe they sold well, but they didn't sell out...there's still a whole lot ofpairs out there. as far as these foamposites compared to the original rerelease of the Ones - those were amazingly difficult to find simply because only ahandful of stores got them and the numbers were really low. The eggplants were a 'general' release in that a whole lot of mainstream stores got them,which means that a whole lot of them must have been produced, and do remember that this is a $200 shoe. besides collectors, who would buy these? and, are therereally enough collectors to buy out every footlocker/footaction/etc? I like them, I want them, but I'm honestly very surprised that they're no where tobe found.

People are buying 1 to rock, 1 to stock, 1 to trade, and 1 to sell....and you got the straight resellers that buy a full-size run+.

well they didnt live up to the hype if thats what you mean. people had 600 pages for them and they were 10x easier to get than the true foam king, the royals.my store here locally had eggplant foams today when i went to look for jordan 1's

i wish nike just kept these limited really all in all.

the only true way to determine how well a shoe is selling (or sold) is by looking at sell thru%'s. i think the only way we will get that info is either from someone at the corporate office of nike or footaction or sheikhs (which is very unlikelydue to the confidential nature of the information).
