Adidas is far from struggling. When I say brand awareness I mean they are trying to reach out to a new group with these shoes, everyone knows who Adidas is, but they want to be associated with the holy grail of all shoes that are actually different, high quality and fashionable. People who didn't know about the Yeezys from Nike, they want those people to know about the Yeezy 750 Boost. And it is working. My friends (girls) who know nothing and I mean 0 about sneakers know about these. I have no allegiance to either brand and don't have a single pair of Nike or Adidas shoes/clothing. But these shoes IMO are high fashion and different. The Yeezys 1 and 2? Didn't give them a single look. So if Adidas can pull someone like me who hasn't bought a pair of Nike or Adidas shoes in probably 6 years, they are doing something right. I know people are upset but what they are building the hype they need.
You own nothing Adidas or Nike but you are NIKEtalk?

There's a difference between is wishful thinking and the reality. and the reality is, kanye the first non-athlete that is getting their own models for shoes. Its a brand new territory that sportswear brands such as Nike and Adidas are treading very carefully. These guys don't perform 3-5 times a week on international and national TV like athletes do to showcase the shoes they make for them. So making them highly coveted and hard to get adds to the brand. It sucks but it is what it is. Until the rapper designed shoe becomes a proven cash cow, I think this is how it will be for Kanye or any non athlete who wants Adidas or Nike to back and produce their designs.
in the social media world we live in you can build hype in seconds you don't need to be on tv playing a game

I just wanted some Yeezy Boost to rock and now this is some crazy big mess.  It's either I try to get lucky at some boutique or I'm forced to pay about triple the amount of retail to get a pair.  I wish it would be a little bit easier to obtain a pair.

Agreed but social media is brand new media. These companies are just now beginning to tap into it with these apps and such. TV/movies is still the number 1 media to showcase product.

Just curious why do you think that? I feel like this will be greatly beneficial to both parties. Part of the problem Ye had with nike was the lack of creative freedom and no royalties. Adidas has seemed to given him both of those things.
In the short term, yes. Mutually beneficial for both in terms of Ye's piece. Short term and long term for the Adidas brand? I don't see this helping Adidas very much. Kanye gets the people in the door at Adidas, but there's NOTHING else inside to captivate the customers. So when they find out there's no more Yeezy's to be had they walk right back out. Adidas needed to accompany the Yeezy boost release when new hot re-designed ADIDAS shoes and gear. That way, when you go online or in the store to cop the Boost's and strike out you're like... "That sucks, but hey!?! THIS over here is hot though!!!". Adidas has failed to do that (barring the release of the Ultra boost trainer) and it shows. If they keep missing opportunities like this... strategically this venture was pointless for them (in terms of brand expansion) and most beneficial to Kanye.

Multiple 750 boost release throughout the year..... Follow @all___white on Insta. Pretty reliable. (FLAME ON)
no flame intended

but i can't trust an IG account that still says places like reed space are releasing these

this dude is just listing consortium accounts

you may be right about 750 release throughout the year

but i wouldn't trust this IG, he has already shown that he stands behind obviously incorrect information

its time to adapt social media as your number one showcase product and if you don't, you will be left in the dust

Tha's correct. I was checking out on Saturday and couldn't so I googled to see if anyone else was having issues and this site came up, started reading the thread and then I joined.

Going forward I find Adidas catalog more appealing than nikes. That's strictly from a "something other than a basketball shoe" level right now. I know I'm in the minority but I actually like what Adidas is doing with there other lines.. I mean...

Thats a great point. When people strike out on Nike releases, they usually have some other NIKE products to fall back on (clothing or other sneakers). I believe thats where the low runners and the boots come in. The full Kanye X Adidas doesn't drop until the fall so maybe we will see a full line of products with multiple items available for purcahse. Im still going to end up with a pair of Yeezy boost 750s. I just gotta pay extra but i want em and I will find a means to get them. Hopefully there will be enough stock around ebay, flight club or where ever when i get my bread right

the adidas tubular line is killing it. i want a pair of ultra boosts but i think they are ugly

What brand awareness?  They are tarnishing their brand by launching this shoe like a bunch of amateurs.  People who may have been willing to give Adidas a chance might be turned off by all this and tell Adidas to blow it out their ***.
This is where I'm at.

I no longer buy any Jordan or Nike products.

I was ready to let Adidas fill that void, but...

That ZX Flux Xeno debacle

and these Yeezy Boost caught me off guard.

If this is how Adidas release shoes I want no parts of it.

I value my life over limited kicks any day of the week.

I agree.. Like you said these hype releases can make u loose out on impulse buyers.. Think u hit the nail on the head with this statement..."Kanye gets the people in the door at Adidas, but there's NOTHING else inside to captivate the customers. So when they find out there's no more Yeezy's to be had they walk right back out. Which leads to "you go online or in the store to cop the Boost's and strike out you're like... "That sucks, but hey!?! THIS over here is hot though!!!".... Exactly how people will think when you have a competitor like nike drppping realeses all the time... Why leave money on the table... There is also the buyer like me who if I went in and they had um readily available boom if I try um on and like um Imma cop.. But im too lazy to jump through hoops over a shoe I feel is already priced high retail.. Eventually I just move on which ='s no sale.. Even now after all this im good off the gray.. Might actually try a lil bit if they come out with black ones..

bruh, please dont be a prisoner of the moment.  adidas has NOTHING, i mean NOTHING to compete with Roshe Runs, Nike Free, Mercurials, Huaraches, Air Max 1s, Air Max 90s...list goes on.

i'm not sure why you guys are making this a nike vs adidas thing tho.  its okay to like both

Stopped reading at Roshe Run. Go buy a pair of Pure Boost and pretend like this never happened.

Yup, peeped them on an German site, would have been a little under 3 bills shipped but custom would have smoked me I bet. Just patiently waiting now.
