kanye really left bc nike told him to **** off when he said he wanted to make clothes, even tho the clothes WILL SELL OUT, nike didn't want that bad publicity that sticks with him to also run off to them, they didn't want to tarnish their image bc he would have had to be more vocal. with the y1 and y2 they released sneakers he help designed the end. a clothing line would inject more kanye into their world

The clothing line that he created really doesn't fit into Adidas either tbh. He should have stuck with APC or someone else like that if he didn't want to do it on his own.

A lot of truth written in this post. Especially the line in bold. I feel like the hype they created is built on a lot of frustration and dissapointment.
some people might say adidas is new at this section of sneaker culture but that doesn't mean anything. if i could figure this out with an 11th grade education how come they couldn't send a research team out to see how nike handles these situations, you had a year and half to figure out how to do this and the second you finished the sneaker you throw it out the window?

RSVP been said they weren't getting them. trust me I would know/Get a pair from there if they were.

I spoke with another boutique who said they are slated to receive the yeezy 750 boost...... But they aren't schedule to receive them until August/September and there order has already been fulfilled for pairs...

Strange leads me to believe this restock throughout the year talk may have some validity to it.

Wild.. This is if not worse than Nike tbh.

with all these raffles where you have to "like" their picture on instagram or follow them on Facebook.  what happens if I don't have either can I still do the raffles?

Bro didn't you say you don't even like the shoe and that the main reason you want it is so you can have something "yeezy" related? As I understand, you actually got a pair, yet you still wantanother even though you don't like it? What?

it definitely doesn't but adidas sees an opportunity to maybe catch some of the market share. NO ONE looking for adidas before kanye i don't care what anyone says. they have that flagship store in soho its been there for what 10 y ears so yeah I've walked in there a few times in that time span but i always walk out bc there is NOTHING that catches my eye. their logo is horrendus they need to focus on the 3 stripes, be more minimal. i understand they have a great market share in europe but if they want to take some here in america they need to change

at least with nike you know what you are getting and when you are getting them, where it will be available as well. can't say the same for adidas

and before someone says to me nike has an old white republican ceo, ill say this, at least he is surrounded by smart people bc they would have NEVER handled this the way adidas did

I would have to disagree. If it is true they will be releasing all throughout the year, how is that worse than the one and done release that Nike does/do?

no one knows its true, everyone is talking to CSR's the LOWEST people on the totem pole and looking for answers. THEY DON'T KNOW NOTHING

plus nike let it be known that y1 and y2 was a small limited release

ok fine, I said IF its true (I don't believe it is) how is that worst than a shoe being released then you not having a chance to cop at retail? I just don't see any logic in the hate on Adidas strategy if indeed they are going to release pairs frequently.

the not having a chance to cop at retail i feel you on that. nike has tried their best to combat bots and ATC services but once they figure that out someone else has another way to get around it. i think lining up for days in advance to buy a sneaker is stupid but theres no other way around it. if a store said SATURDAY WE ARE GIVING OUT FREE BREAD and you expect to waltz in there saturday afternoon and get free bread only to be told they are all out of bread you can't get mad bc its life, theres people out there that want it more and will go the extra step to get what they want, it sucks i know but thats supply and demand

I think Adidas indirectly figured out how to beat bots on Saturday.

yeah the whole site crashed and no one even knows how many pairs were released. prior events can tell you not many since you saw very little email confirmations on NT,Twitter and IG all the places people like to STUNT and rub it in others faces that they got it and you didn't

Yeah I didn't get my point across the proper way, I meant in terms of finding info and searching for clues to purchase a pair of shoes this is worse than nike. Atleast like you said nike would make it known when and where product would be available and if anything would surprise us with a restock.

You right I just said it wrong

The clothing line isn't made to look like adidas.

He is essentially using them for production means so cost won't be as high as it could be if he didn't use them for production. Very simple to understand what he is doing/wants to do with adidas.

It's like hedi Slimane and saint Laurent

His team wants to design. The designs will be very hedi and blah blah blah but SL and the Gucci group can take care of the finances and production for him. So all he has to worry about is design/fabrics etc

exactly adidas would take that risk, nike definitely did not want to and in turn that enraged him bc i guess he felt he had a good relationship with nike

Makes sense for him but not Adidas. Once he leaves he doesn't benefit their brand or advance their own line. I guess they are just desperste for sales...but then they go limit stuff. Go figure
