Evolution is necessary, or you die.

People grow up with certain beliefs, not knowing any better because they are being told what is right, they then remain children for the rest of their lives. But once independent thought, and then exposure to a broader intellect occurs, options appear, therefore giving life and growth to those who crave freedom, being allowed the ultimate in expression, being able to break away from the status quo.

Giving your loyalty to anything that isn't loyal to your own freedoms, necessitates your own enslavement.

If you allow it, then you are stupid enough and then deserving enough to endure it.

Good luck and enjoy.
what I'm surprised by is that you wrote all this just over some brand loyalty crap thats crazy

lets take a moment to appreciate this body of work

Adidas is doing a great job at keeping this out of the public eye, thought those shoes posted above were them, i really want to see what Ye is doing with 3 stripes

$400 smh. More of the same bs. Ye sold us a dream

People are surprised?

Yeezy 2 retail was $250

You know damn well kanye went premium as hell with adidas/Y3 materials and design

Y-3 qasa retailed for what $350

I can tell most people never had or tried on a Y-3 model they are very well constructed and the packaging is top notch for those who get excited over crappy jordan 11 slide boxes lol

Anyway

Price was expected by me already

Just wanna see the damn shoe at this point lol

If this is true, people really need to call Kanye out for this.

He got on his high horse, played the race card, and swore up and down he made this move get more affordable pricing and GR releases.

Affordability is relative. And, GR is quite broad. Qasas still sell out, and they're all GR's.

Kanye said he wanted the Yeezy to be lower priced than what Nike priced them, and not have limited releases like Nike did.

He specially talked about Nike's handling of the Yeezy 2.

There is no defending him on this. If these are indeed 400, that fact alone shows him to be a hypocrite/liar

I can see the first colorway being premium and limited, hopefully Chicago only release.  Then the others will be the general releases and lower prices he vowed.

Not entirely. You're taking this based on a tweet. He designed an entire line of products. There can also be two versions of what is releasing. He can be releasing a higher end version, that's limited, and then a lower end version that will be for general release. He also went with Adidas because they gave him the resources and freedom to produce his own collection.

You also make it sound like he has 100% control over pricing of his products. Not everything is black and white. He doesn't fully control every aspect of the business.

So why would he complain about Nike's business tactics? Realistically Nike just put kanye in his place when he tried to have more control over the shoes and wanted his own sig line and Nike told him he wasnt an athlete blah blah, he got butt hurt, Adidas stroked his ego because they were desperate to have even half of the acclaim Nike garnered with the yeezy's and now we have 'ye lookin like a hypocrite

Why would he complain? Because again they pigeonholed him into only shoes and only one shoe every 2 or 4 years. Obviously he got upset because he wanted to do more. He's gone to fashion school and has worked with all those high enders. He wants to be able to design. So if Nike isn't going to provide that then of course he's going to get mad if they tell him no. Adidas wants both the acclaim and his ability to design. Adidas isn't only about one thing. They sign all sorts of designers because they want to after to the higher end affluent market. Him looking like a "hypocrite"is only to those who only see the face value of what is happenin instead of actually taking the time to understand how business actually works. Or real life experience in general.

Kanye working with high end designers and attending fashion school does not constitute with him having a fashion brand with an athletic company. Nike gave him a platform that no other non athlete has had with them. How many non athletes have had a shoe endorsement deal with Nike? Marty McFly? Oh. All kanye had to do was wait it out and I'm a firm believer that he would've got what he wanted with Nike. Be it a more accessible shoe or clothing but him going off on a tangent about being kept in a box was ludacris. You wanna make clothes? Take that up with Dior or Louis Vuitton. Nike is a sneaker company first and as of last year kanye had the most sought after sneakers on the planet with the most profitable sneaker company on the planet. The swoosh is bigger than the 3 stripes, period. You want brand recognition, learn from the best. Like I've stated before the whole thing came down to royalties and he was on his way there with Nike but he didn't wanna wait, and who would fault him for that when money is concerned? But I just feel like he had something unique with Nike. Like fam your first shoe had an air Jordan 3 midsole. You're living out the dream if every kid that grew up in the 80's and 90's. You had your own Air _______ * fill in the blank*

I believe along with creative liberty he sought a higher percentage on sales which Nike absolutely was against.

The real deal is KW wants to make it on someone else's dime. Of all the brands he mentions or wants the success of, are their own brands. He put it his own brand and what happened? Exactly, we don't have the answers. He can succeed with the 3 stripes but its gonna be harder than if he stayed with the swoosh.

Exactly. He was in the realm with sports icons. He took pride in saying "the yeezy jumped over the jumpman" because his idol who's shoes he and everyone else on the planet loved were an afterthought when his second shoe hit the market. I always have and always will be a fan of kanye and one of the main reasons is because if how uncensored and how outspoken he is but he should've humbled himself with the Nike deal. He didn't win any majors, any Larry O'brian's and every one wanted his sneakers. All because of the swoosh. Dons and jaspers didn't do that. Air yeezy's did.

at the end of the day adidas aint nike

his ego got a little big. and its not even like they gave him 100 mil they gave him 10. dude has that 10 times over by him self

imo staying with nike would of had a greater cultural impact and would of netted him more bread in the future.

just think they was about to give him like 20 SKUs
