gonna be dead for the most part bc everyone will be at home trying to get pairs online.

After 11/12 am....stay cool out there brudda

I haven't paid any attention at yzy for a while, but I just keep getting alerts about Zebras dropping. Just out of curiosity I went to stock X and seen these going for 500+ .. What did I miss? I thought these were selling for 1500+ lol

Here's my stance on reselling...

- Flip things like NMD / UB that come from Europe w/o VAT and cheap shipping. Even better if on sale.

- Sit on anything hyped (Yeezys)

I'm sitting on 6 pairs of PP right now... they'll go over $400.

I'll probably sit on all the Zebras I buy as well.

Hell I'm sitting on the Supreme Mini Bike. I could have flipped it for $3k profit yesterday.

Every release kids get lucky and fight each other for a few dollars. If they could hold it for months / years, they'd make a ton.

I really learned this this year with Supreme each week. I talk to guys that have been reselling for years and said hold things, and it finally took me the better part of a year to learn it...
This guy knows what's up. Although I wish I didn't do this with the original Zebra drop now going to be awhile if ever hitting 1500 again.

I don't know about sitting on the bike though. Mechanical things like that don't like to just sit around

It took you a year to learn that holding limited things is better than flipping the moment it is released (restocks like the Zebras is an exception)?
I'd only really flipped Zeezys before, since I get a handful each release.

I could get a few hundred dollars on each shoe, so I thought that was good.

Started doing Supreme and getting all the hyped items and making next to nothing on them flipping them.

Took a step back and saw how crazy Supreme went when given time (esp. accessories). Now I'm going to do the same with hyped shoes. I'll pass on the $150 to $200 the Zebras will bring and just wait until the cheap pairs have dried up and list them at a more realistic price. These shoes should be $650 minimum and will be in a few months. I'll still list them, but at a price I want. Did the same with PP. People probably think I'm crazy with $400 PP listed. Oh well :)

If I'd list the Mini Bike, I'd probably put it up for $7k and let it sit. But I'll probably just not even bother listing it for a year or so.

My wife really wanted to sell her pair of Zebras. I said no, they're so rare, cool to keep.

Now I wish we sold both of ours. A 5 and 13 went for tons...

It's not even assembled. Just going to leave it in the box.

My wife wants to use it haha...

Could probably still get 5k for it one day used... Only 300 made and a lot cooler than a punching bag...

Man this would have been me if I caught that damn Supreme bike

I've really figured Supreme out...

But I didn't think I'd hit. I wasn't even nervous (which I am, if I want an item personally) and got right through.

I was more nervous waiting for the shipping email.

I've learned to do the exact opposite but that's because I'd rather invest my money into something else

The extra hundred or so is not worth it to me to have shoes laying around for months/years

That's true as well.

I can see your point for shoes. Supreme on the other hand is pointless if you don't sit.

I've sold things like the Black MJ Hoodie, CDG AF1, Suptempos, etc... at next to nothing the day of the drop. The CDG Box was a good flip, but will go up much much higher.

I won't even get into what I sold the tape measures for... ugh... really should have sat on those.

If the Black/Reds dropped tomorrow, prices would plummet too.

It's always about rarity.

Um, obv...

But on that note, as I said earlier, as time passes down the road don't be baffled when the breds are fetching the most money.

As you stated, supply v demand.

Damn u got a supreme bike? How sway i wouldnt sell dat id be skatin through the hood bumpin prodigy

Time value of money. First thing I learned in my intro to finance course. You can sell now for a lower profit and invest again in something else. Or you could sit on something for months or even years. You'll make more money on that single item but not sure if you're really making more in the long run instead of selling now and investing in something else.

Personally, I don't see sneakers has a good long term investment. They are far too volatile and a re-release or hype dying could kill their value. Who knows how long Yeezy hype or boost hype will last.
