Who also remembers the fake sell out on those BBALL 1 carbon sesame? They did a fake out sell out couple times. And lo and behold a full size run of them for Black Friday lol. At this point no one should pay retail for these things, never.

I guess they overestimated the demand initially for the first launch, that’s why there’s so much of the sesame colorway.

the difference this time is stock numbers. the Bball 1 had thousands of pairs available on FOG's site when they took it down last year. This time, there were waaaaaaaaaay fewer pairs on site in total. (Like, in the low hundreds total across all sizes.)

I could be dead wrong, but I don't expect Adidas to make the same quantity mistake they made the first time around.

Both my pairs came in. Bought half up and TTS . Tried on both, call me crazy but these are TTS. I have the BBALL 1s and yeah those are tighter at the top. They fix the sizing on these imo. They are snug but they arent the snug where u need to size up, my half size up felt a tad bit too roomy. For some validation Jerry did say .5 up the BBALL 1s but for these BBAL 2s he said True, and I agree.

Baskeball 2s came in and man do I feel like I’m staring at a shoe from 2016 these could have easily been tubulars or a Qasa variation if the sole was different. That’s said I like them a lot. They feel way more like a stripped down basketball 1 than a successor but I’m not mad at it. I think I still put the originals on top because the uppers have more dimension to them but even at $180 they feel a well put together shoe. They do fit looser than the orginal pair but I don’t think I could size down personally. Folks with narrow feet probably could. Anyway thumbs up from me. If a light grey or oatmeal pair came out I’d still be in at retail but would wait for discounts if things look like they’d head that way.

Oh and they’re def more of a dark brown than black but look black when not next to something black lol

depends on what you like in a basketball shoe. The 2s have a bouncier more responsive sole. The uppers are anhellnif slot thinner and more breathable too. I feel like I’m way more secure and locked down in the 1s

Did you get the same size as the 1s? I went half up on those and ordered the same size for the 2 based on what others have been saying

Yup size 11.5 on both

Conclusion is normal / narrow feet stay TTS. Wide feet up half size for the IIs.

I think ima just pass for these, gonna save the spot for the IIIs.

I don’t mind. It’s on the inner part of the shoes right. The Lightstrike material gotta be able to expand and contract.

Looks like an eyeball or something hanging off the back to me. Originals didn't have them...completely encapsulated / no lightstrike I suppose? But this is up above the sole like, lightstrike heel cushion? Not feeling it.

1s had fully caged lightstrike, 2s are uncaged on the medial side. The "bulb" is like a heel counter detail.

Personally I don’t mind the bulb. There’s almost nothing going on the the upper of the 2s compared to the 1s so this adds some contrast.

My basketball 2's arrived yesterday.

Got them for 40% off from adidas. I went up .5 a size and honestly could've went TTS but they're not too big. Thick socks or double socked they will fit perfect.
