NMD only looks good to me when the Lego blocks are of the same or similar color.

The blue and red Lego didn't work for me on the og. Way out of place
I know what you mean, but the OG's definitely grew on me since they were first unveiled. Where's that restock at?!

So I wore my Creams to Costco yesterday (big mistake) and it was crowded as hell. Got my foot ran over by a cart and left a black streak on the toebox. IIRC, the recommended method for spot-cleaning the wooly toebox is soap/water/toothbrush and brushing in the direction the weave goes. Is this correct? Just want to make sure that's right since I forget if people clean wools differently than non-wools.

is there a huge difference in comfort between ultra and pure boosts? sorry never owned pure boosts
I own both, but I prefer the UB a lot more. I feel like I'm getting more of a bounce with the UB than with the PB. Also, the primknit just feels so comfortable.

Their both great shoes, but def. UB>PB any day of the week imo

That's funny, when I wore my cream to Costco last week, I was checking out and the isle behind me dropped an olive oil and it shattered all over me. Luckily it seemed to have missed my shoes tho. Maybe it's a good idea to keep that shoe away from Costco stores.

View media item 1872972My love of OG NMDs will see me through a restock.

That is why I never dress up for Costco. The creams are wooly, so I don't know if it'll aggravate the piling. If that happened to me I'd pretreat stain for 10 mins, get a hose, put it in the shoe, run it on full blast, and gently rub the area. Sorry, that sucks. You have a pic?

I've cleaned my chalks a couple times. Did washing machine method once & just toothbrush/soap & water method the second time.

The only difference between cleaning the wool and regular UBs is that you need to be a little more gentle with the toothbrush on the wools since cleaning will leave them looking a little fuzzier than before. Scrubbing in just one direction is a good idea. The weave goes in all directions though so just pick one and stick with it.

You could also pretreat the stain with shout or something like that before you scrub.

No matter what, the fuzziness around the tip of the toebox will increase a bit after cleaning, I took a fabric shaver to em though and they're good as new.

Not sure what you mean by that question. NMDs have their own sole. It is comprised primarily of boost but also the plastic from the blocks on the side (they go into the boost material to provide support).

The result is a wider, less bouncy sole but still very comfortable.

What are the ups/downs of cleaning wool UBs in the washing machine?

No they are not. As tank stated they do have the boost sole, but it's different from the NMD since they have these blocks/lego looking plastic to the side of the shoe/sole.

Here are some pics of pure boost:

The first PB:

The PB 2

Here are the NMD

As you can see they all sport "boost" but they do differ. PB 1 and 2 have similar soles but NMD's do differ with the plastic blocks attached to the side.

ok i understand now thank you guys.... im a newb to boost technology and all i own are ultra boost... so i was just curious in the difference in "boost" kind of like the difference in "air"

appreciate it [emoji]9994[/emoji][emoji]127997[/emoji]

To me there is. Pure boost is a casual shoe with a lower boost density.

Ultra boost is a performance shoe with primeknit and a denser more responsive boost. They actually have 25% more boost iirc condensed in the sole, which gives it a firmer ride. UBs also have the torsion setup.

wonder if it weakens the glue or boost?

Washing machine method (widely recommended across the Internet) works for all UBs, I just don't want to put them through it if they don't need a full clean so sometimes I just do spot cleaning w/ toothbrush.

It doesn't weaken the glue or boost any more than usual wear & tear.

Just got my 3m's from Amazon. They look awesome definitely happy with this purchase. And mine were doubled boxed

My burgundy just hit customs today, hopefully get em by the end of the week
