Lots of Hypebeasts for sure, but if Ultraboost and Yeezys are the real deal for all day comfort. Nike needs a similar technology or no one in their right mind would buy an inferior comfort shoe.Response? Nmds and UBS are direct rip offs of Nike silhouettes.
It's coo if you're into adidas right now but it's hilarious that you cats have to justify buying adidas by having to compare it to Nike and hype. Hypes the only reason 90% of you are buying. Bunch of wait for the masses to tell me it's cool to wear nike/jb again.

Happy New Years!
Thats definitely how i see it as well. Buying a hyped product from nike is so much smoother than buying a hyped product from adidas and its annoying when people claim that adidas is "killing" nike. I think product and service should go hand in hand.To be honest I don't think Nike is going to "answer" boost the way people want them too. Too me it seems as if Nike has decided to focus more on service and bringing more shoes to more people than being trendy. also they've made the buying experience for shoes so much less painful and so much more convenient with snkrs and Nike+. Not to mention so many shoes that used to be a pain to get are now readily available. sock darts are a perfect example of that. But yeah nikes got a huge selection of fan favorites to pull from, maybe the goal for 2017 is to push those and focus on continuing to make the customer experience better. Maybe that's their answer to adidas.

Nike NEEDs to do something, you can Nike knows they have to develop an answer to Boost. To be honest I don't think Nike is going to "answer" boost the way people want them too. Adizeros are runner flats, not made for casual use even though I enjoy them as such. You shouldn't expect UB/PB cushioning from a runner flat. Here's the bottom of the Adizeros/Adios-
Adizeros look like there's less BOOST than an NMD.
Pass.

Tried on Lunar Epic Flyknit Lows in store. They feel like BRICKS. That Lunarlon have no idea what they're doing with it.Lunar epics are pretty comfy
This is true, but also the larger point is that Nike will still make way more money off of the casual consumer, and that's where the bulk of the business focus will always be. I teach middle school, and the kids wear Nike shoes and apparel more than all other brands combined. And while selling thousands of pairs of Flex Runs doesn't thrill the hypebeast market, money is money. If they can make the LunarEpic (which is wild underrated) and the LunarCharge (haven't tried them yet) appeal to people, then, cool. Look at the Roshe - it went from a boutique shoe to a model that sells over 10,000,000 pairs in a year (and that was for 2014, no clue what they sold last year). Did it lose its "hype"? Yes. Did Nike make a ton more money when they opened up the presses? Yup.To be honest I don't think Nike is going to "answer" boost the way people want them too. Woah there buddy. Let's go through them:Aesthetics is one thing but I don't buy the comfort angle as an excuse anymore. There are plenty of non boost sneakers across many different brands that come pretty damn close. As someone who wears ultraboosts regularly as well other shoes, if you can't find comfortable sneakers with a swoosh on them you're either not really looking or just going based off of hype.

Nike's Presto is more comfortable than Lunar epics, and Air is like a 30 year old technology lol.

Adidas surpassed Under Armour in the US, and the only reason is Ultra Boost, NMD, Yeezy.

NMDs are for the hype bois. Other than the collabs, UBs overall are for the comfort bois
You realize that Nike owns about 50% of the American footwear market right? And in second place is adidas with 9-10%. Nike doesn't need to answer to anything. How sneaker heads feel doesnt determine the market.
Idk man. The comfort with the ultraboosts are definitely there. Not necessarily the Kanye hype, but the hype that comes along with it being the new "it" sneaker, in my opinion, drives a lot of it.
Comfort gets you your first 3-4 pairs. But when people talk about I just got their 6th pair of the same shoe in the same color, that's hype driven.
Yes, American footwear market for sure, but not Metropolitan and other trendsetters. You're not going to find many people that will endorse that presto > lunar epic assessment lol I definitely don't. Lunar epics are on par with ultra boosts in terms of comfort to me.

Not much of a debate. Nike supporters think Nike doesn't have their own people under pressure to answer, it's laughable.
Can we not get into a Nike/Adidas debate?

I only wore them in stores, but Prestos actually have a bit of cushy give while Lunar Epics felt like standing on concrete.Agree to disagree I think theu are def more comfy then prestos. I own both.
