doesnt look like the same sole throughout so its not painted
also i dont think they'd show painted boost sole off this way

Nah that sole looks similar to the boost hiking boots they just put out. Boost through most of the sole, but colored TPU or something on the rest.

I actually spoke with this guy. he customized and sells it. it is authentic and does disclose he took the cage out. he did offer me a good price but cageless is not my thing.
