I would hardly call the update a "massive fail." Better traction and more variation in color. You've had the better part of a year to buy solid colors...

Did you even read my comment or my comment before that? I stated "Massive fail on the uppers of the 2.0" Conti sole will be a welcome addition but the shape of the new knit pattern on the toe box + the Nike Free looking color blocking does nothing for me.

Is there anything you could use to put a layer under it so even if it cracks, the underneath stays black (even if it's a darker black)? Like hardcore dye or something, I don't know what people use to customize shoes

I used angelus paint and used 2 separate paints 1 that is used a base layer and a second that makes it matte. I did 3--4 layers of both

hes kicks tried it. basically he wasn't careful with removing the masking tape and ended up ripping parts of the plastidip that was bonded to the tape, but it looked decent otherwise.

I have no problem with the new UBs. I actually really like the black and the white pairs.

As long as they are still as comfy as the first set of UBs, I'm all for getting them.

Yes, I did. I simply disagree with the vocal majority who think the new uppers are awful. I think they look fine, and I'm sure they'll still throw in some simpler CWs as well.


Now, if the fit and feel of these changes at all...that would piss me off.

Has anyone else not yet been refunded for their "cancelled" order from the BD method? I didn't opt to pay the faster shipping, I just used the free shipping option.  It's making me hopeful that they'll send me a pair, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

It was the weekend. Banks/CC companies usually process on a business day. I have pending Adidas charges on the AMEX yet they cancel all 4 order attempts I made. UPS My Choice doesn't have any tracking update. So I'm screwed on that front but I'm glad I was able to collect one pair from the mini restock yesterday.
